    Long story short, I sent in my Day One Xbox One in mid-december to have the entire console, power brick and kinect looked at and repaired. A month later I recieved my console only. I called in and had the power brick shipped week later. Now I have been
    calling since then to get my kinect shipped to me. I have been told multiple times that it was never recieved, that it was shipped back or that its in the hands of the Advocacy Team. Its been months and I call weekly and continue to get the same answer.
    "This has been escalated to our Advocacy Team, you will be contacted in a week or less". Well 6 weeks later and its never happened. All I want is my Kinect sent back. Or any kinect would be fine. How on earth can it be this hard to get good customer service????

    Anybody have issues like this? What did you do? What can I do?

    If it was a Gold Membership account, you should be able to prove ownership by providing the payment details and address tied to the account. Your bank managers should be able to look as far back as possible to find any purchases for a Gold Subscription if
    you used a Credit Card and you could take things further from there, with phone support. Does any of that sound like a possibility? Or was your account Silver?

    The base line questions are questions about the blank spots on the account. If the base like questions involved SQ and password it would be fine. Constantly getting the run around they tell me go here. Annoying

    Personally, I have never sent any electronics through the mail for repair. The best thing to do is to actually talk to a representative, don't let their automated system finish your calls off and tell you to wait a week or two. I'd say try and talk to an
    actual member of this "advocacy team." Make it bluntly clear to them that you have waited long enough.

  6. Personally, I haven't had to send anything recently, but I concur with the time taken by this Advocacy Team to provide assistance and they are beyond a joke! I have been fobbed off continuously by this team, and after 8 days I still have no X-Box Live!

    Good luck! I've been told by UK support I need refering to Advocacy team! 1, they'll ring back..NO they didn't. 2, request advocacy team via online support..they'll email..No they haven't! I'll not give up though! Hope you're sorted!

    I know what I'd do. I'd go buy a new one then throw the old one in the box and return it to the store. "This doesn't work and the kinect is missing, I want my money back."

    That's called fraud, and you'd be busted considering the fact that each Xbox has a unique serial number so they would know that wasn't the one they sold you.

    No fraud is when you try to do something deceptive in order to make personal or financial gain. The fraudulent act also causes another party to suffer loss. If what the OP says is true, then this would result in financial restitution not gain. As it now
    stands the OP was the one who suffered loss.

    Store wouldn't take a loss, they'd send it back to MS as defective inventory. MS would be out the kinect, but they already gained an extra one. So no loss nor gain to anybody involved. All this would do is restore the OP to wholeness.

    No matter how you try to twist it, it's still fraud. You're lying and *** over a store that had nothing to do with causing your issue. You can't justify dishonesty.

    Dishonest? Yes. Fraud no. No one gains anything and no one losses anything other than MS, who if the OP's scenario is correct, is up one kinect to begin with. Without one party making a personal or financial gain and the other taking a loss, there is no
    fraud by definition. In this scenario both the OP and MS would return to their status before the unit was sent in for repair. It would result in status quo for both parties, meaning there is no fraud by definition.
