    Advice?

    Hi all

hope everyone is well, looking for some serious advice here. I was always a 360 gamer but this generation i went to ps4 as my preference in a gaming console is purely gaming, i have no interest in entertainment or any of that lark, im not saying for one second
xbox is a bad console it just wasnt for me, however some of my friends have gone to xbox one, now i just want some advice on something - do you think that xbox 1 games will now be able to reach higher resolutions and FPS with the extra gpu given to developers?
as i say i like to have the best possible quality gaming, i noticed that most of the upcoming games are now matching ps4, for example alien isolation, Battlefield hardline, destiny, the crew, etc will be 1080p 30/60fps on xbox 1 therfore matching ps4.

Looking for some serious advice, im not a 'fanboy' of either console.

    thanks in advance

    :)

    wheres the dlc

Am up to the 1st Ciaus boss in Oerba. And have unlocked the the Sunlieth Waterscape. Have the Final Fantasy XIII-2 Official Guide hint book (approx 303 pages). Yup I LOVE the Final Fantasy XIII series! Probably need to level up my characters a heck of a
lot to defeat the 1st Ciaus boss. The guide adviced using sabatuers since Ciaus uses spells to heal himself including faith and bravery on himself to tear down my party.

    Advice?

    Hi Josh

Sounds like you've answered your own question.

The XBox ONE has better exclusives and more next gen games so if you want to trade in a life of internet forum resolution discussions for a life of gaming then the XBox ONE is definately the way to go.

    Hi

thanks for the prompt reply, appreciate it. So do YOU think that developers will now be able to improve the performance of upcoming games thanks to the GPU increase??

    thanks

Performance will improve and it will have nothing to do with that old wive's tale of "GPU increase".

Look at "Deus Ex: Human Revolution".

When we saw the trailers we all questioned if the XBox 360 would actually be able to run it with the graphics on display.

Now when you look at it those graphics look dated.

When I bought "Oblivion" if you told me that I'd be playing "Skyrim" on the same machine I would have laughed at you, but that's exactly what happened.

Jump in and have some fun.

  7. Graphics are not games. The stories told, the missions, the collectibles are what make a game and these are about developers not consoles.

Developers are now learning how to get the best out of the XBox One hardware and using the excuse it's because of the Kinect is just lame.

Microsoft backed titles appear to have the best looking graphics in the upcoming releases for XBox One but give it another 12 months everyone will be delivering at that quality. Can't wait to see what Eidos does with Tomb Raider as it looked great on 360
and beautiful on Xbox One when ported so build for next gen will be good and exclusives as we now know.

Remedy building Quatum Break with TV series tie - in is looking good now too.

Lets just hope no developers have overshot the consoles capabilities and have to downgrade the graphics as Watch Dogs had to do.

    Advice?

Honestly OP I would not worry too much about gaming resolutions etc, got with whatever console you genuinely believe you will enjoy the most.

Also Az, more next gen games on Xbox One is not true.

Currently there is around 100 next gen titles available on PS4, to Xbox Ones 59 games.

Gaming is not about graphics, like FitsHisFace said. Gaming is about the experiences.

Just because it's on the PS 4 or the XBox ONE doesn't make it a "Next Gen" game.

All that last gen fodder Sony is throwing on PSN doesn't really count.

There's a reason that the only thing the Sony Cyber Squad ever really shout about on here is "resolution" and not games.

But then "Diablo III" released at 1080p and 60fps and the XBox ONE caught up to Sony in bringing us the best of last gen in 1080p.

hi again everyone, ps4 has been traded in back on Xbox with the mates, i must say i am impressed so far and have realised that resolutions mean nothing, think back to the days of original xbox and ps2, i can never remmeber giving a toss about what game had
    what resolution or bla bla.

glad to be back on the Xbox. Had 360 from day 1 all them years ago.

  13. Advice?

Infrastructure is the most important thing with this generation of gaming - you have two options, MSFT and SONY.

Which one do you believe will support the infrastructure to make their network number one?

That's the one I would choose, and also the one any gamer that wanted to truly embrace this new generation would choose.

Your choice though, have fun whatever you decide Advice? :)

All that last gen fodder Sony is throwing at PSN? You must be referring to that one title it has re-released called The Last of Us.

That one game that is already light years ahead of the best XBOX ONE offering. Also people in re-released houses shouldn't throw stones, I mean re-releasing all 4 HALO games in a desperate attempt to stop what little interest its fans have from completely
    abandoning the SS 180.

Diablo 3 was indeed brought into the same resolution and frame rate as the PS4 version, well except for all that horrible frame rate drops when the action gets intense because MS is hung up over resolution, tells its fans it doesn't matter but then tries
to force developers to make it match the PS4 version. If 900p, 720p is the best for a certain title then that is what it has to be.

MS need to stop with all this "we must be better" nonsense because that game is over, its lesser hardware that is less capable and has gone through so many revisions it has lost all identity, resorting to buying sequels to third party reboots that it shifted
    the least copies on anyway.

If you want a true gaming experience mate get both, enjoy both but accept that these are two different machines, 1 will never achieve the heights of the other but it can still be a good console if developers play to its strengths.

There's no issues with "Diablo III: UEE" on the ONE regardless of how crazy things get.

The 360 regularly outperformed the PS 3 despite, on paper, being the less powerful console.

Surprising to see it outperforming the PS 4 already.

The "horrible frame rate drops" you get on the PS 4 simply aren't there on the ONE version.

Oh well, at least you get to play through "The Last Of Us: One More Time For The Sales Because There's Nothing Else To Play Edition".

    Happy gaming.
