Advice needed: drills not getting picked up

I'm sure someone else has experienced this - no matter what you do, for some drill, the sensor just does not pick you up at all. For example, for me, on the insanity cardio, the first suicide drill after the stretching, I just get a pure 0 - makes it hard
to advance since that's the required 5 star for "level 2." I have seen the same thing in Mossa as well - I have not tried it again, but my girlfriend would jump in and do the drill in much worst form, but it would pick her up perfectly (without detecting the
changed user), then I would jump back in. And it is not a form issue - I have been in situations where the drill is repeated and I do the EXACT same thing and get a 5 star.

Anyone knows how to overcome this?

Insanity - Pure Cardio - Jackhammer achievement

Is this achievement possible to get? I'm getting a 5-star rating overall for the entire workout; about 120k FP I think. To get the jackhammer achievement you have to score 80k in the jack drills.

This doesn't seem to be accumulator one; ie where total progress is achieved over multiple workouts as there's no progress bar on this achievement. I also think that the number of workouts I've done has probably taken me over 80k for jack drill.

The altenative is to get 80k in one workout, but this seems impossible. There's not that many jack drills in one workout. At my current pace 2/3rds of my FP would need to. come from jack drills which I don't think is physically possible.

Anyone have any experience of getting this achievement ?

It will most likely be a wireless security issue are you using a wireless mac address list/filter on the router? If so you will need to add to the Xbox mac address to it before it will connect. Also I would recommend changing from WEP to WPA2-PSK(AES) security
if possible WEP isn't very good at all and could also be the cause of your issue as it isn't officially supported in Wireless N

 

Recalibrationg Kinect usually solves tracking issues for me. You can do that in Xbox Settings -> Kinect -> I have moved my Kinect sensor.

 

I have the same problem. Recalibration does not work for me. Like you said its hard to advance if it's not tracking.

 

I've had this problem as well. I contacted Xbox support and got some advice.

1. Clear Persistent storage by going to Settings > Disc and Blu-Ray > Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage > Clear it three times.

After this, turn the power off, unplug for 15 seconds from the power supply and restart the system. You then need to recalibrate the Kinect to set the floor properly. I do this once a month or so.

One thing I do every time is go into my settings to make sure the floor is set properly before i do a workout. I use workout mats so it tends to confuse the kinect a bit to know where the floor is. If that's not set properly, my points don't match my workout.

That is pretty much all I know on this topic. It is a pain in the *** unfortunately.

I've found that certain movements get picked up less reliably than others and the direction the action is in has an effect.

For example, if the move has you punching or kicking directly ahead facing the kinect, I find it loses me from time to time. If I instead turn slightly to one side, to give the kinect a bit more of a profile to track it sees me much more accurately.

Try changing your orientation when doing the moves to see if you can score better.
