Advanced Warfare resolution?

Sadly, I don't think Crackdown 3 is due until 2016

 

^ I guess if you know what your doing with a PC, meaning you know how to put it together or in my case I got my brother inlaw to build me one then it wasn't as expensive as I first thought, still not as cheap as a console but not as bad as going online and
buying one ready made so to speak.

I still think the whole argument/debate online between the fanboys about resolutions/FPS is as pathetic as it gets. Sure I can understand someone picking either console for it's exclusives, they prefer one controller over the other or it's where the majority
of their friends are but when they start comparing every little pixel in one part of a game .... "Oh look that looks much better" .... when in reality when playing 99.9% won't notice these little things, well to me it's just a case of them gathering ammo in
their never ending debate ..... "Which one is better" ...Obviously helps them justify their own decision and makes them feel better but for the normal gamer that just wants to have fun it's again about what games appeal most etc etc ..

^^ As for Crackdown, shame it's not Crackdown 3 but I think I could be tempted by a remake, loved these games, especially the first but I can see me having nightmares about those orbs all over again

 

Well you cannot totally blame gamers, so many mixed messages from both MS and Sony over the years, 720p/1080p HD gaming was rammed down gamers and consumer throats by MS and Sony last gen as a standard, yes res is not that important, but it is a integrate
part of the overall experience, and was sold by MS and Sony as such, i doubt there are many here who think res is so unimportant that they are still gaming on a 480p display.

Nope MS and Sony deserve a big slice of the present PR BS shitstorm pie that is making the rounds at present for pushing a standard they now seem to have trouble reaching. lol

I agree with you there, both MS and Sony rammed it down our throats but I still don't get the attitude of alot of gamers out there and even alot of so called gaming journalists these days.

Recently sites like IGN, Eurogamer ( and there's others ) released articles on Dragon Age, Project Cars and the first thing mentioned in the headlines ... "1080p on that one, 900p on this one" ... What happened to talking about the actual game, what kind
of story, what MP features there are? In my opinion it's just click bait rubbish to get the hits on their sites.

And ok, like Mr Boas said before, some gamers don't like gaming on a PC, some can't afford to get a decent rig up and running but when you see the console fanboys constantly banging on about ... "It looks so much better on this one" ... I'm like ... really?
if that's your argument ( and why there is arguments over consoles still baffles me ) you are really missing the point. My choice of which console I game on most is about what gamers it offers me, where my friends are, controller that suits me best.

Yes we know the PS4 is more powerful than XB1, XB1 of late seems to be slowly catching up with a few more games hitting the magical 1080p but if you look back there are some games on PS4 that didn't hit 1080p, some did after a patch so could it be like a
few developers have mentioned, both consoles were already a little underpowered on release? Some developers have even said that MS and Sony's claimed 8-10 year life for these new machines is rubbish, in 4-5 years that will be completely out of date lol

I know fanboys have always been around, I can remember people arguing ( yes I'm really getting old ) over the Spectrum 48k and C64, Megadrive Vs SNES but since the launch of XB1/PS4 they have really come out in force. Pity they don't spend as much time actually
playing with this consoles, they might start to properly enjoy them.

 

Yeap, the the poor gamer really does have no chance these days, we have hardware manufacturers selling pure BS and treating the gamer as if they should be on bended knee thanking them, we have the gaming media who have the morals and integrity of a crack
addict, who will do whatever it takes for those holding their next fix, then we have publishers and game devs who act like dodgy second hand cars dealers, who using every dirty trick in the book to get the gamers cash even when their product is not fit for
purpose.

I look at all that and have to remind myself that gaming is supposed to be a fun hobbie. lol

One article that made me chuckle most not long back was something posted on N4G ( one of the biggest culprits for click bait rubbish ) ... headlines was something like ... "Horizon 2 Vs Drive Club, who's the king of the racers?" ....

Bearing in mind when the article was published neither game was released and having played both myself I wouldn't even compare them, 2 different types of racer in my opinion, sure some will prefer one why others the other now but it just shows you the state
of gaming journalism these days, anything to get the hits on their sites, trouble is the fanboys love it, you only have to look at the comments section after the articles and the posts/replies run into the 1000s :/

 

900p with a pretty much locked 60fps in the latest digital foundry hands-on.

 

Always good to see the gamers who don't care about these things typing 10000 word essays telling us how much they don't care.

 

I would say it is because they dont care that they write about it, to offer their point of view and how they dont/cant understand why its all that matters to some

 

Good to see gamers debating both sides, that's what the forums are for.

Real life must be terrible for me. As an Xbox player, it only runs at 900p MAX and 30-60 FPS.

I wish I could look out the work doors in glorious 1080p.......:-(

 

graphics are terrible worse game ever its halo mix with battlefield wtf (advanced warfare)

 

Graphics seem ok to me, I got the Xboxone version because I got an unexpected "reward" on my account. I also have the PS4 version being delivered today so I will be comparing both.
