Advanced Warfare Digital Download (Refund)

Okay, so I'm not going to get in to many details here. It's quite obvious what's happening with the digital downloads of Advanced Warfare. I feel somewhat compelled to make a complaint and ask for a partial refund. After pre-downloading advanced warfare
last week it took two hours to install the game fully. Upon it hitting 12.01am UK time the game said "install" and as it was doing so a notification came up saying it was ready to play. However before I could click the middle button it was installing the
whole game once again. What I don't understand is, how come some people who installed the game digitally got to play it straight away? Others hard reset their Xbox and it worked for them, they were able to play. Others had to install the whole 45GB game once
again, one of them being me. I did not pay £54.99 for the day zero addition to more or less play this game on Tuesday. Like me and many others we will miss out on double XP and basically the day zero addition would have been a total waste of money.

At 12.01 the game decided to install itself and I went to sleep. At 4am the install was only at 16% and currently at this moment in time almost 12 hours into installing the game it's at 61%. I understand this is better than what some people have been experiencing
but the fact remains, people who pre installed this game beforehand should NOT have to install it all over again. Xbox/Microsoft were false advertising and funny enough, still state that the game can be played 1 minute after midnight. Like many others who
have been hit by this problem we would like a refund. Not in the form of Microsoft points, not in the form of Xbox live membership, not in the form of an apology but in the form of money. Sooner or later in life everything is going to be going digital, and
this is the experience Xbox are giving to people? Not only did people get the game far to early, not only did the servers go up on Thursday, not only did double XP kick in on Sunday evening around dinner time (when it was supposed to be Monday) us paying customers
have to go through these problems all because Xbox couldn't solve the problem. Everyone who has been effected by this should be compensated in some way. I can't believe that some people who installed it digitally got it to work perfectly fine when the majority
didn't. If it isn't going to work the majority then it shouldn't work for people at all, period.

I'm having the same problem, 13:44 now and im at 26% i wont be playing for day zero, alot of us bought digitaly so we could play it sooner than if we preordered from a games store and this happens... I want money.

 

I feel your pain! I had the game preordered at a local shop and decided to go ahead and do the digital download for the Day Zero Edition so I could play just past midnidnight. I started downloading yesterday (11-02-14) morning and here it is almost 1:00
pm on 11-03-14 and it still has not downloaded properly. My internet connection is fine it is the lousy Xbox One.

Unfortunately Microsoft has a no refund policy on digital content even if the problem is on their end. I would have been better off getting the game disk I preordered and waiting in line. I will never buy a digital download again from The Xbox Store even
it if means letting the Xbox One gather dust. If it were not too late I would return imy Xbox One for a refund which is sad because I have only had it a few weeks. The entire system is a nothing but a headache which is disappointing because I loved the 360
so much!

 

At 12am it "started" downloading by 3am it hadnt finished so restarted. At 6am was still downloading but said it was playable (32%). Played part of the first level and decided to let it finish so I turned of the xbox. its now 1pm... and it says 22% downloaded...
how the heck.. it undownloaded. 12 hours later and I still dont have a game that I preordered for download a day early 4 weeks ago. *** you MS

 

Sorry posted that in wrong profile.. at some point are you guys going to finally fix the xbox one. I mean this is ***. You dont wait till after the game comes out to figure out that you have problems. you should have say this coming. I mean it has happened
to all the major releases so far.

 

Same problem, spent the massively inflated store price of £55 just to get the ability to pre-load. Was looking forward to getting home after a days work and being able to play straight away. Now I have nothing, the 45 gigs I spent the last days downloading
are apparently now non-existant as far as the console cares, because it lacks any sort of ability to check for files and simply download what's needed. The only option being to download it all again, which I can't do, because I only have so much bandwidth,
and even if I did, it would take far too long. Had to go ahead and order a physical copy now, went and payed for postage to get it to me tomorrow. So that's almost £100 on this game, and I don't even have a season pass to show for it.

It's nothing short of false advertising, but naturally, no sort of compensation or even so much as an apology will be offered because it's the games industry, where *** over consumers is perfectly acceptable: "Hey guys, just delete it download it again,
thanks."

Is this really supposed to be xbox's entry into the digital age? An utter embarrassment.

I just bought a Call of Duty Advanced Warfare xbox 1 last night. The game will not download. Networking is fine. It just wont get above 35% downloaded. The game is the only thing that will not download. The additions downloaded. It has been downloading
since about 1am. No Day Zero for me. Im lost?

Come on Microsoft, do something for Darth and Slimm! Keep my money if you want but these guys spent $499 for COD / AW console which they can't even play the game on. Really?

 

I bought the special edition console and xbox live won't let me redeem my game code to even start downloading it. It just says it can't find my code.

 

i spent $499 + tax came out to be like 560 and my code wont work , i read on other forums says actvision messed up and sent out wrong code with the bundles and i got to wait till tomorrow to use my code wdf is this ***
