Adult restricted by child settings

I have an Xbox One and have both myself and my two younger children setup with their own xbox id's. When the kids aren't around and I want to do something like play a mature game or even just do something simple like watch Netflix, I get prompted that
my kids aren't allowed to watch it and do I want to allow them? This gets really annoying having to type in my password once for each kid and then half the time afterwards it still tells me I can't play the game anyway due to content restrictions.

The kids are not logged in and they are not in the room where Kinect may see them and auto log in them in. I would rather the solution not be to up my kids' content settings to explicit because I would like to limit them, but this is ridiculous.

Is there some setting that I've missed that would help prevent me from getting hit with the content restrictions for when Dad wants to play?

Child account does not appear in Xbox Family

The adult account is and the child account is XIII Whipwreck.

The child account does not appear under the Family while logged into the adult account, but I can see listed as the adult account for XIII Whipwreck while logged in as the child account.

There's some sort of bug where I cannot change the settings and it has restricted buying DLC on the child account. I have no issues on the Xbox 360 with buying off the marketplace, only

off the Xbox One do I have issues

Xbox One Child Account Information

Microsoft gives the parents the control over what their kids play, you go into settings, and you can set up the child settings and restrict what ratings for movies, tv shows, music, and games can be accessed by the child account. If you want your child to play a game that's rated M, then set it to that. Want the child restrictions turned off, then do that. The power is in your hands.

This is not how it's intended to be and not how it usually works, so I think there maybe something faulty in the settings of your Xbox. Would you mind to delete your family configuration and set up the family with all the settings again to check if this
fixes the issue?

Hi, is your account under parental controls ?

If that's the case then the parental account will need to sign in and change any restrictions on your account.

If that's not the case and your account is an adult account and you also have a child account signed in that has content restrictions set then those restrictions will also affect the adult account until the child account signs out.

Is your account set up as a child account? Those messages sound like they relate to child account settings.

If you do have a child account, those settings will need changing in the adult account it is associated with.

The restrictions are set correctly. Changing the restrictions from 'friends' to 'everyone' or changing the child's permissions to 'adult' did not have any effect.

You changing their Privacy Settings from Child to Adult doesn't change the account status to adult itself. So pretty much their accounts are still child. It will be possible to change it to adult as soon as they reach 18. If that is the age of an adult in
your country ofc. You cannot change that setting manually. The restriction on downloadable content stays locked until they reach the required age depending on the content age restriction.
