Adult account, but prompted to get parent's permission for purchase

I did not mention anything about maintenance. re-read this thread. I said i had the same problem as the OP and that it was being investigated as an account issue by the higher support teams of xbox live. you are replying several times to this thread and
contributing nothing helpful at all. please refrain from spamming this thread anymore. if you havent got anything constructive or helpful to say and not experiencing this problem yourself why post at all?

 

My account is also an adult account, ngocphi. It has never been a child account. This was confirmed with Xbox Support during phone troubleshooting (multiple times). As Mr Craigy D says, it seems to be an issue with "unrated" software, as I'm able to access
M-rated software without issue.

 

i contacted support on chat again today to check on my case and apparently the case worker also has the issue him/herself. said it was being looked at by the pros. i think it may be something to do with the new software update and changes they are making
to the store. my console says it updated on the 21/8 and i first experienced these problems on 24/8. i had literally just pre-ordered wwe 2k17 on 19/8 so it cant have been happening before then as the game is currently unrated at the moment too.

 

Is there is "maintenance" ongoing with the Microsoft store / Xbox marketplace. I was on the phone for almost two hours before I was told this, and I am concerned that this was said in order to end the call, "

You cannot purchase Unrated Indie games with child accounts and yes they are treated seperately

Yes. All Xbox LIVE Indie Games are considered unrated. Unrated is the highest level of restriction on the Xbox 360 console. Indie Games will be inaccessible on consoles with activated parental controls

 

Mr claigy you are dealing with two seperate issues

The listed game is a unrated Indie game govefned by laws listed by the op

What you preordered is a m rated game

 

Child accounts cannot access unrated Indie games

have you actually read what we have posted in this thread ngocphi? we have ADULT accounts and we are having problems buying UNRATED games. higher support is investigating. you have not helped one bit in any post you have made so why bother clogging up this
thread? please read our posts properley before replying and if you insist on doing so can you please try and post all in one go?

yeah we are in talks with higher support. several other people are starting to experience this problem now on other forums i use. hopefully something can be sorted soon..

Can everyone (except Craigy, I've got you in your other thread) please post back what games they are having this issue with? Additionally, can you please let us know where you are attempting this purchase, console or website? I understand it can affect both,
and we want to know where you are running into it.

I was trying to purchase the three game bundle of Letter Quest, Three-Fourths Home, and Paranautical Activity (www.microsoft.com/.../c1djnt05zg2t).
I experienced this issue on both the Xbox One and on the website.

I assume this an ongoing issue still? Just tried to make a Games with Gold purchase and its blocking me from making the purchase an a rating category. Thing is I'm signed in my actual Adult account. Yes I have 2 kids accounts with restrictions, but removing,
re-adding, changing restrictions etc doesn't resolve the issue.
