  1. Admin Prompt when Running Games

On my laptop, every time I launch EA Sports FC25 or Valorant, there is an admin prompt for EA anticheat and Riot Client. Even if I press yes and enter the admin password, or if I press no, the game still loads and it still asks me the next time.

I believe I know the reason behind this, however I do not know how to fix it. One time when I was playing another game, my CPU usage was very high so I decided to go into task manager and end processes that were not important. I ended the EA anticheat or the EA background service (i don't remember) and I ended Riot Client. Ever since, it has prompted me.

I saw on another post that running the game on an admin account fixed the problem, however when I tried, it gave an error message saying Unable to find the selected path or something about not having the proper permissions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    :)

Destiny via Xbox app hangs on Battleye install (PC)

ah---forgot to mention but i did try that as well. running Destiny 2 itself as an admin doesn't do anything different at all. I wanted to try running the xbox app as an admin, but that doesn't seem to be possible? the option isn't there when you right-click it.

it's ridiculous in this day and age that you ever have to run an app as an admin manually; if an app needs admin permissions, then it should just ask for them via a UAC prompt when you run it...

I thought about just swapping over to my admin account completely and running the xbox app and also destiny there, once, to see if it could get battleye to install properly. But my admin account can't see that Destiny is installed; running the xbox app in that account shows only three or four of my dozens of installed games. And I'd really like to avoid having to reinstall destiny again on that account, it'll take ages. Even if it worked, that would mean i'd have to swap over to my admin account every time i wanted to play! You should be able to run anything from a normal, safe standard user account...

Game Bar and Xbox Game bar present. The latter not updating.

Thanks for the reply! I'm stuck on step 7. Command Prompt is giving me "access denied" messages. I disabled the antivirus, so now I'm stuck again. :(

PS. Yes I am the admin account, and I did run as admin.

PC xbox network NAT Type fix

Hello there, this is Manuela!. I'm an Independent Advisor and community user like you ready to assist with this

May I know what's appearing when you test your network?

I think you're referring to the next procedure:

"Some programs can alter your PC’s network settings with the purpose of disabling IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) networking components, which can include the Teredo tunneling adapter. You can determine whether Teredo has been disabled by running the following commands.
    Check the iphlpsvc registry path:
Press the Search box on the taskbar, type cmd, and then open the Command prompt.
Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
    reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iphlpsvc\Teredo
If the output includes the following line, Teredo has been disabled:
    Type REG_DWORD 0x4
You can re-enable Teredo by running the following command from the Admin command prompt:
netsh interface Teredo set state type=default
    Check the TcpIp6 registry path:
In the search box on the taskbar, type cmd, and then open the Command prompt.
Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
    reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters
If the output includes the following line, and the value displayed is not 0x0, Teredo may have been disabled:
    DisabledComponents REG_DWORD 0x8e
You can re-enable Teredo by running the following command from the Admin command prompt:
    reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0
You may need to restart the IP Helper Service after making any of the above registry changes for the new settings to take effect:
In the search box on the taskbar, type cmd, and then open the Command prompt.
Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
    sc stop iphlpsvc
    sc start iphlpsvc

Xbox One Wireless Controller - Game and audio begin to stutter after some time

Although informative it doesn't give me the complete picture. So let's try some diagnosis instead.

    * Please use the link I have sent you in a private message to download the trace.zip file, unzip it to a folder of your choice, there are 3 files, 2 .cmd files and 1 .txt file

    * First off open an admin command prompt, (Windows+X->Command Prompt(Admin)

    * Be warned that we will be gathering a lot of data, so we may want to be judicious in usage

    * Once you start noticing the problem, switch to the admin command prompt and run start.cmd to start gathering trace information

    * After some time passes, say around 30 seconds of bad audio and no game input, run stop.cmd to stop and flush the trace information to a .etl file

    * Please upload the file to the link I have shared in the private message
