  1. Adjusting TV settings

I recently bought a 4gb Xbox 360 from a pawn shop, and as it did not come with an internal drive, I bought one off of amazon for it. I just hooked it up to the TV, got all the updates run, connected to the internet, and my profile downloaded. The problem
is that it doesn't fit the TV screen. The top and bottom are getting cut off, and I can't seem to figure out a way to get it to reset those settings. I have tried formatting the internal drive, and changing the screen resolution.

    :)

It may also be a setting within your TV. Have you tried adjusting video settings? Image enhancers like Cine-Motion or Motion Flow can create lag.

Likely a setting on your TV that adjusts screen size is the problem.

On your TV, bring up the settings menu with the TV remote, and find the setting that adjusts aspect ratio or screen size. You are probably set to “zoom”.

Are you connecting an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One to the TV?

On some TVs, if an HDMI-connected device is causing a shrunken output, there should be a TV setting that adjusts "overscan", which adjusts the size of the output on the screen.

Xbox One X HDR dimming problem!

    Hi there,

It may appear to be a problem, but you might find there is a setting on your monitor or TV that causes the screen to dim a bit.

It would depend on the TV model you have, there is sometimes a "game" setting or a "warm" setting that you can adjust to make it not as dim. You may also have a backlight setting for your TV that you can adjust.

Try connecting it to another TV, and adjust the video output settings, and then once the settings are configured, connect it back to your original TV.
