Additional Xbox One Power Supply/Power Cord

Greetings,

I'd like to be able to move my Xbox One console between two rooms, without having to move all the cables between rooms. Already have extra HDMI and ethernet cables, so no problem there.

I've looked for an additional Xbox One power supply/power cord, but there's a dizzying array of them to choose from online. I'm assuming many of these are cheap knock-offs that will either run very hot/loud, have a short lifespan or could potentially harm
my console.

Looking for recommendations. Would also appreciate pricing info for any recommendations.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I wasn't able to find a "Search" feature in this forum, for some reason. Perhaps I'm blind?

Hi there,

As far as I know, depending on the power cord itself, if it's just the cord (so not the power supply) you might find a matching one at an electronics store. As long as it meeds the power requirements for the console (and it fits the slot) the cord should
be fine.

If it's also the power supply (only came with the original Xbox One console, both S and X have an internal power supply) then contacting Xbox Support is the best option to order a new power supply.

Solutions

Disconnect your power supply cords

If your power supply cords are not plugged in securely, you may see one flashing red light when you turn on your Xbox 360 console.

Disconnect and reconnect your power supply

Turn off your console.

Disconnect the power cord from the back of your console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and the power supply unit.

Unplug both cords from the PSU, the console, and the outlet.

Reconnect all three connections making sure they are secure.

Plug both cords into the console, power supply, and outlet.

Turn your console back on.
