    I am currently having trouble with an additional hard drive, I have bought a seagate 3tb 3.0 usb hard drive but it keeps opening the media player app. I formatted it to NTFS but it is still not working. SGR-39212

    thanks man, i ended up buying a new one off of ebay, so im hoping it'll all work out!

    You need to be sure that the HDD is in fact a Microsoft certified HDD. In all cases, buying used is always "buyer beware."

    The hard drive needs to be formatted via the onscreen option in the Xbox One menu when you plug it in. I have two Western Digital 4tb My Book external drives (I want to have plenty of storage) and for both drives I had to format them through the on screen
    options on the dashboard.

    Oh, thank you for the additional information. Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console?

    A corrupted hard drive may cause issues as well.

    I had this same issue, replayed it 2 additional times, then installed the game on hard drive and it worked the next time.
