Adding Xbox One Controller Drivers Windows 10

When I plug xbox one remote into my Laptop it does not work, The Xbox Accessories app just says Plug a controller in to start. I'm using a micro usb to usb.

The driver wasn't on device Manager at first so I had to add it with Action -> add legacy hardware.



I tried updating the driver.. But it's already up to date. Still doesn't work.. :/ I have windows anniversary too,

You can't, unfortunately.

The Xbox One S controller's bluetooth function was mainly designed for Windows 10 PC users, as Windows 10 (with the Anniversary update) has the necessary drivers to properly interface with the controller, most likely to coincide with the recent "Play Anywhere"
feature for Xbox One.

With that in mind, Microsoft did not release bluetooth controller drivers for other platforms, so there is no official support of the Xbox One S controller outside of Windows 10.

Hi there; looking at the website where you can get the drivers from Microsoft, it does not appear that they have updated drivers for Windows 10 (www.microsoft.com/.../xbox-360-controller-for-windows).
You may have to update/upgrade to the Xbox One controller for Windows.

I tried connecting with wireless, But I don't have a xbox one s controller, Only a standard one.

I also tried a inplace upgrade and that didn't work either.

Just like to post an update for any one that could have the same issue, I have had this Laptop for about 2 years and never really deleted or unistalled anything.. I also download a lot of thing's. As you can guess what happened.. I had a lot of viruses.

I downloaded Norton, As it works, And has a free 30 day trial. Did a complete scan of my computer, Not just a quick scan. I 11 viruses and 29 tracking cookies. One of the viruses being a fake xbox one controller windows 10 fix :/ Should of known not to trust
that.

Although the problem persists it's slightly different. So I will contact tech support today an update you.
