Adding or changing a Microsoft account for my Xbox account

My parents set up my xbox account under their microsoft account and later i set up my own microsoft account which ive been earning points for microsoft rewards on and I would like to use my microsoft account and my xbox account instead of my xbox account
with my parents microsoft account is there anyway to do this or not, thank you for any help that you can provide

OK you cannot transfer the gamertag when you come of age it normally asks for a new email address. But as you said you have another mircosoft account which you can download to your xbox and use that one instead but it might be a fresh start gamerscore
wise.

You can only change the MSA associated to an account through the 360 console. But you could add an alias to an account and use it as a primary email. If you don't have a 360, then you could perform adding alias. But you need to have verified the first security
proofs that's been added on the account.

Unless you had someone login to your account then changing your email password would be the only thing you need to do. Did they access your XBOX account? Also would be a very good idea to change your XBOX live password and add the security proofs to your
account. I have mine set to text me a code in the event someone would ever request a password change to my xbox account.

Can you sign in to your Microsoft account and make sure you've added security proofs like phone numbers, alternate email addresses, and security questions and answers to your Microsoft account.

Change your Microsoft account password. Note: The password for your Microsoft account is also tied to your Xbox Live account, which means, whenever you change
your Microsoft account password, this will be the password you use to sign in, or download your profile from Live.
