    Isn't adding on memory better than swapping out hard drives?

    I purchased an xbox with 4Gs of memory. I have been told you can buy more memory by adding a memory card or using a flash drive. How do I this?

    Hello MC Devil Dawg,

    The basic requirements for storing games and apps on an external drive are: Has capacity of 256 GB or more, and Uses USB 3.0.

    As also if you need info on to how to set up the external hard drive it can be found

    I have tried numerous times to format my extern to my Xbox one it meets all req and when I hit format it goes into the naming portion and before I can do anything there the display disappears and all I get is the spinning loading ring and I can't get rid
    of that unless I quit the settings app help
