Adding friends on my childs xbox account

It might be the wording that is causing the issues.

As a parent myself the only way I have been able to do this in the past is go into the Family Settings and then my child's account and give them the ability to add friends, then let him (on his account) add the person they want to add.

Once done I changed the rule back to prevent them from adding friends. It is a pain at times, but that was the only way I remember doing it.

I think the best way is to teach them about when to friend someone, and let them control it themselves - with you reviewing every now and then

There is no error displayed. I added Xbox Live account of my second child via Download Profile on Xbox. The account was added without a problem. Then I checked Settings > Family, but there was only an account of my first child. The same situation is on
my XBox Live Account (on the internet); under Security, Family...-->Privacy & Online Safety. There is only first child too.

To clarify further, what's happening when you try to sign in on the console when it asks you to grant permission? Can you reply with a picture of any specific error messages you're seeing when you try that?
