    adding child to a parental account


    Hi,

    my son was having a problem logging into FUT (fifa ultimate team) I did some research and found that it maybe an issue with rights as a child .I removed all access limits but he still couldn't login to FUT .I then uncoupled him from my account (parent account)
    .Now whenever he logs in it asks him to associate his account to a valid parental account .

    Ive tried this association several times but in the end it says that it is currently unable to proceed please try later .its been like this for a few days ,ive followed instructions to clarify Microsoft linked account and cleared cache . unfortunately he cannot
    login still because its asking for a parental account to be associated.

    any help or advice would be very welcome

    MY CHILD WAS HARRASSED for his 1600 Microsoft points!!!

    you can set his privacy settings to friends only

    also if it is a child account make sure that its set to require parental approval for adding friends

    this will prevent unwanted msgs

    Have you tried signing him in on Account.live.com and the nadd the adult account from there?

    luckily I spoke to a very competent person in Ireland Who helped solve my issue . my sons orphaned account had become corrupt (I was unable to login to "my account" on Microsoft live) after finally getting through to people who had the ability to help instead
    of posting useless links without actually finding out what my problem was .

    Once I managed to get a Microsoft incident number (an impossible achievement if you use the forum or the live chat) my issue was solved in 2 days .

    however , I would like to thank the 2 guys above who at least answered my post .

    anyone who has account difficulties where you get a response error when trying to access "my account" in xbox.live you need to contact Microsoft and get an incident number where an analyst will sort out your problem .

    That logs me into the parent account, not the child account I added to my parent account on Microsoft.

    be sure to check who the parent is of the other child account. because if the parent accnt is not yours you first need to remove that child account from the parent accnt by signing in with the parent account and going into the family settings and removing
    him. once removed he should be able to be added to your family. or try using the child accnts parent credentials to add to the family pack.
