Adding child account

I’m trying to add my child account to my family but it won’t add because it’s saying he’s already in a family. Please respond back. Thank you

Adding Child Account

Help! I am trying to add a new XBox Live account for my son. Before Microsoft split up the accounts into separate Gold accounts I could just add a profile under my account (I was at the max of four so wasn't sure what I was going to do when my youngest
boy got old enough). Now that my youngest boy is old enough I want to get him his own Live account and CANNOT figure out how to add him.

I currently have a Live account for myself (Parent) and three kids. This will be the fourth child and fifth account.

HELP!

You would need to figure out what the email address for the family that he is already a part of remove him from that family then you would be able to add him to your family.

If you are not sure what account was used when setting up his account and added to the family you can contact xbox support and if they can get into your sons account they would be able to tell you what the email address is that is associated with the parental
account currently on his account.

does your child already have a microsoft account set up in order to sign into Xbox Live? If she doesn't, you will need to create one from account.live.com and when you are setting their date of birth and it is set to be a minor, it should prompt you to associate
another account to be the "parent." After they have done the Microsoft account set up, they should be able to use the ID to turn it into a gamertag, redeem her gold subscription code and get online
