    i'm having problems signing in and adding accounts to my Xbox. when i try to add accounts or sign in it says "there was a problem, and we couldn't continue." and iv tried everything i could think of.

    no access to live or internet despite good connection

    Hi, try signing out of your account on the Xbox and then sign in again.

    Should this keep occurring try removing and adding your account back to the Xbox.

    In that case try simply signing out of and back into your account on the Xbox, if that doesn't help try removing and adding your account back to the Xbox.

    Any luck fixing it yet? Mine is still doing the same thing. I did a system reset again and deleted everything, and i still cant add my account back on.. This is ridiculous..

    Greetings from cyprus, and yes I have the exact same problem with my brand new Xbox one S.

    My internet runs fine but every time I'm trying to add a new profile I see a blank loading and then it kicks me out without any error notification.

    so although that i am signed in on the account im playing from if i redeem it, by paying for something with said gift card, the contents wont be added to the account i am signed in on? it would get added to the account that the store is signed in on?

    I apologize for not answering your other question. As for adding more gift cards to the account, were you only signed into to your son's account on the Xbox when you added the gift card? If not, try signing out on all other accounts on that Xbox before
    adding the gift card. It shouldn't matter, but worth trying.
