Add Steam Support/Games to the App

I'd like to see my steam games in the windows app. It'd be really cool if there was some integration within the app for steam or in steam for the xbox app. As it is, I can't put any steam games into the xbox app and use it as my one source for launching
games.

Games Disappearing From List

When I add games to my list in the app they disappear. They will reappear when I create a new shortcut for the start menu and let me add them again. Any fix?

Both Steam and non Steam games.

Purchased this game but it won't show up in my purchases.

If you purchased this on Steam, you would see this in your games within Steam and click on the download within the steam app.

As long as the Steam game has a shortcut on your PC, you can add it to your Xbox app by clicking ''+ Add a game from your PC" in the top right corner of your games list.

Of course it's not ideal, as it will then launch Steam in order to launch the game - but if all you want is your games listed together in one place, that will do the trick

It's very unlikely that Valve will ever allow another application take over the launching of Steam-purchased games, so Steam will always be the middle-man in this situation.

I believe the TC is trying to add The Windows App version of FH5 to the Steam launcher as a none steam game. This isn't possible.

Unfortunately due to the DRM the Xbox App installed games still use, it's not possible to add these games to your Steam launcher as none steam games.

GoG Galaxy does allow you to add games from any PC launcher, including the games from the Windows Xbox App.

If you want to stream the Xbox App version of FH5 via steam, you should still be able to by this by launching Steam in Big Picture mode and then minimising to the desktop.

On the other hand if your question was about transferring the game from Windows to Steam then that's not possible. If you want to own FH5 on Steam, you'll need to buy the Steam version.

The location is likely the issue since games installed through the Xbox app have restricted permissions. Moving it to Program Files (x86) won’t be straightforward, as Windows typically locks Xbox-installed games to their original directory.

A workaround is to add Minecraft’s executable file as a non-Steam game in Steam without moving it. Try navigating to C:\XboxGames\Minecraft and look for the .exe file. If you find it, open Steam, go to Library > Add a Game > Add a Non-Steam Game, then browse for Minecraft’s .exe and add it.

If Steam doesn’t recognize the controller properly, another option is to use something like reWASD or DS4Windows to map your controller inputs.

I see, could you confirm for me if the issue is happening in the Xbox app or Steam app?

If it's steam you will need to contact their support or support from Bethesda who is the developer of the game.

Unfortunately, there is no official and native support for DualShock in the Xbox app, it only works on Xcloud.
