Add Music To Xbox Parties So I Can DJ!

Not sure what there is to troubleshoot? I pick an artist, I select smart dj, it picks me about 10 songs and that's it. I've done it with multiple artists and get the same thing, except maybe the total songs isn't exactly 10.

Never had this problem with Zune. Seemed like it would go on and on playing music. When I used smart DJ with it, it would populate a number of songs, but when I got done or near the last song on the list it would go out and find more music to add to the
smart dj "playlist" instead of starting from the top.

I'd like to know when you pick an artist how many songs do you get when you use smart DJ before I start running around doing a bunch of troubleshooting that I'm certain isn't going to do any good because it's a problem with Xbox Music, not anyone's computer
or music.

Hey Rubik! You can in fact do this.

First, launch Smartglass on your PC. Then launch the remote function on the PC, and use it to navigate to Xbox Music on your Xbox 360. Continue to use the remote to navigate to Smart DJ on Xbox Music on your console. When you launch Smart DJ on your console,
your PC should load up the Xbox Music Experience, which will let you remote control Smart DJ from your PC. Once you have that going, you can turn off your TV, and use your PC as a remote.

I use smartglass to play music on my Xbox, so I am streaming a smart dj selection. As the music is playing, I slide from the bottom up or top down to reveal playback options. I see play here as an option, but it is not selectable.

You've gone from a Zune Music Pass to the Xbox Music Pass, and when using devices with either Xbox Music or Zune Music your Smart DJ no longer has the Mojo.

Are you running the two softwares at the same time? Like do you have Zune Desktop open while you are also looking through Xbox Music?

Alright Ross. I just started a Smart DJ and it gave me a list of about 20 songs. I skipped to the last song, and then it gives me about 20 more songs, so it's like you said your Zune was, a never ending playlist.

How are you starting the Smart DJ? I did it by going to the homepage of Xbox Music, and choosing the option "New Smart DJ".
