    "Add Guest" skips guest #1


    On Xbox one, either during a game or dashboard, when the 2nd controller signs in as a guest, the profile is hostname(2), not hostname (1). If I use a 3rd controller it goes to hostname(3).

    How can I get a controller to sign in as the first guest, hostname(1)?

    The reason why it matters is we are trying to continue a game.

    Xbox live guest not working

    I can't play live with a guest. I am playing cod black ops. I selected add a guest and my name tag (1) is signed in But when I hit A to add them, the nametag (1) isn't there. Just gust shows up. When I select the guest I get an error message sayingCant
    sign in to Xbox live. Please use a profile with a valid membership.

    Problems accessing guest (1)

    Does anyone know how to access your guest (1) account without having to hit add guest? For some reason my guest (2) account keeps popping up. I hope microsoft didn’t delete the #1 guest option to avoid confusion because I have made considerable progress
    in multiple twoplayer games and now I look like a noob in all of them when I play with my older brother. Any advice is appreciated thanks.

    If you sign out of all accounts,
    power cycle the console    , and then try to sign back in do you see the same thing happen?

    To be sure we understand is this happening with a specific game? Which games are you running into issues with?

    Power cycling the console worked, thank you.

    For those who find this in the future,

    Simply turn on Xbox, then using the actual Xbox power button, hold it down for 10 seconds. Then turn Xbox back on, anyway you like. Then try signing in a guest. For me it automatically went to hostname(1) instead of skipping it and going to hostname(2).

    how do I create a guest account ?

    I tried add guest, then the account has my name with a(1),and my picture.

    But when starting a game then the guest account uses my score and overwrites it. Thats not what we are looking for!

    How to sign in with Guest Key

    Good afternoon,

    To sign in as a guest or create a new guest, press the middle button on your Xbox controller, go all the way to the left to the "Sign In" tab, and at the bottom it will say add guest. That is how you add a guest to your Xbox console.

    Hey there, I don't think you can use the guest profile feature while playing ranked online matches. Though to set up a guest account for the rest of the game:

    1.Make sure the second controller is turned on and is not signed in to xbox live.

    2.From the main menu select VERSUS then select XBOX LIVE PLAYER MATCH

    3.At the bottom of the VERSUS PLAYER MATCH screen you should see this “Y Guest SIGN-IN”

    4.On the second controller press Y then select “Guest Xbox Live” from the list that drops down.

    5.That’s it, you are now ready to play with your guest
