Add email for my microsoft account

Add an alias to your Microsoft account: You can add an alias, which is just another email address, to your Microsoft account. This will allow you to log in to your account with any alias and the same password.

Set the new email as the primary alias: Once you've added the new email as an alias, you can make it your primary alias. The primary alias will be the email address that is shown to others when you share things like documents.

Delete the old email: After you have set the new email as your primary alias, you can proceed to delete the old email from your account.

Please note that if the email you want to add is already associated with another Microsoft account (as seems to be the case with you), you will need to close that account before you can add that email to another account.

After you recovered your Microsoft Account email, just add your account to your console with these instructions: Add /
Remove Account

Hi there!

Please be advised that it's not possible to add an existing Microsoft email address to a different Microsoft account. The email address @hotmail.co.uk is a Microsoft account itself. You can only add a Microsoft email address as an alias to your other Microsoft account by creating a new one. To add an existing email address as your alias applies to 3rd party email addresses only that are not yet currently linked to Microsoft account.

I believe you don't need to remove her email from the account as long as you add yours as an alias and add it as primary as stated on the support page.

In this case you could create a Gmail, or yahoo. Then add that email to your account, and then

switch it to your primary email. If your current email is in use already, you can add it as a secondary email to your account, but you wont be able to use at the primary.
