I want to add my nephews already existing live account 2 my Xbox so he can game on the 1, but I don't want him to be able to download or delete...     Hi. I want to add my nephews already existing live account 2 my Xbox so he can game on the 1, but I don't want him to be able to download or delete anything. Anyway to put restrictions on his account on my console?

    is this on their forum bit you add your account as I am on there and cant see where you add it

    Xbox 1 sign in

    I had the same problem, you need to delete the account of your xbox after that u can add the account back.
    Maybe that will also work for you.

    There's no way to put those kinds of restrictions on accounts.

    You can add him if you put him into a "Xbox Family"

    From there you can put restrictions on his account. You can prevent downloads/purchases but I'm not sure you could prevent deletions. But why would he do that anyway?

    I have 2 kids myself. The most valuable service is the family timer IMO.

    Have you checked to be sure there's no restrictions on the account? It could be considered a child account. In which case you would need to add it to a family account and remove some restrictions.

    You cannot demote an account to a child account but you can add it to a family pack and add certain restrictions if needed. :)

    You can't set restrictions on an adult account. They will need a new profile. Unfortunately you can't transfer data between accounts either. Once they have their own account you can add them to a family account and set restrictions
