    Adaptive joystick

I am on my 2nd adaptive controller ( due to it not functioning properly) and just received a replacement thumb stick. The problem is that I plug the adaptive thumbstick into the left usb port of the controller. My regular controller works fine ( still
has access to use the left stick) but my newly received adaptive thumb stick does not function when I click it in to sprint. Nothing happens. I can feel and hear a slight click but the sprint function does bot happen. I always turn my console on with my
regular controller, then turn on the adaptive keyboard device but no matter what I do, I can not sprint using it. Please tell me that Xbox or the adaptive thumb stick manufacturer did not make a product that will let you run. Clicking an added button is
not an option due to nerve damage in my left arm and foot. So there’s no way for me to click a button, while pressing forward on the joystick. Wouldn’t a much easier option be to have a functioning click on the thumb stick? If there’s something in settings
to edit, please inform me of what to do.

    :)

    Xbox Adaptive Controller set up

I have a new adaptive controller and have the adaptive joystick plugged into the usb on the left side of the adaptive controller, yet the joystick will not control the left thumbstick in any direction. This is my 2nd adaptive controller keyboard and
first joystick ( first thought pads on adaptive controller were touch pads). I’m hoping someone else has had this issue and is an easy fix. I turn the adaptive controller on first, then my regular controller. I’m praying this is not a second return of the
adaptive controller or a first of the joystick.

Xbox One Adaptive Controller and a R-net Compact Joystick

... if I connected the joystick with a serial to USB adapter to the Xbox Adaptive Controller, would it work? If so, what type of adapter would I need?
In order for the Adaptive Controller to recognize an USB joystick, the USB adapter would present itself as a HID-compliant (Human Interface Device) Joystick.

Most USB to Serial adapters however advertise themselves as a serial COM Port, so normal USB to 9-pin converters won't work.

    You could try to
    contact Curtiss Wright
, the maker of the Compact Joystick, if they know of an USB adapter that makes this joystick available as an actual USB Joystick device.

When talking to Curtiss Wright, make absolutely sure that they are aware of the HID Joystick requirement. A serial port USB adapter will not do the trick!

    Adaptive Xbox controller and joystick

Logitech Extreme Pro 3D Joystick is actually one of the recommended joystick or accessory for the Xbox adaptive controller. However, we can only use the Joystick and not the buttons and thumbstick, for now.

XBox Adaptive Controllor with Logitech 3D Pro Joystick setup

    Hello Cat5ive,

The Logitech 3D Pro Joystick was one of the recommended joysticks for use on the adaptive controller; the joystick works, although the buttons around or on the joystick unit are not currently supported.

Here are a list of Xbox Adaptive Controller accessories that are fully supported.

Check this out, we hope this helps.

    Best wishes!
