    Adaptive Gaming Help


    Our gaming community had a friend whose son (10) recently had to have his right thumb fully amputated. We are looking to get him the adaptive game controller but wanted to reach out to see what/which accessories might be helpful for his son to get back into his gaming. He particularly enjoys his FPSs!

    Far as I can tell, the Adaptive Controller is the only accessory for those with limited mobility (be it amputation or other reasons) produced by Microsoft.

    Depending on where you are situated, there may be companies that specialise in producing bespoke solutions...as an example, the Amputee Coalition in the United States has a list of companies that provide solutions:

    First of all, I'm so sorry for his son. :/

    So, the only accessory that I know of is the xbox one handed controller, also, they could remap the controller to maximize the performance of his son without the need to use the thumb.

    Internal wireless or wireless adapter?

    it wont make a difference at all because for one the internal wi-fi adapter over rules external adapter plus the internal wi-fi adapter has a 4-5 metre better range and is more reliable, it could be the game itself or could be you internet carrier playing
    up with that game, but to help you out it's definitively not the adapter.

    not sure if i can help out with anything really butt have you looked into the Adaptive controller kit that logitech made for the adaptive controller, im not sure if it will help with the supercross game with steering but for other games it might be something
    that is worth while.

    It said that there was no updates needed. Also, I have changed the batteries (did not fix it) and tried the headset on my xbox 360 and it did work with that.
