Adaptive Controller & 3rd party joysticks

Do the USB inputs allow us to use/program 3rd party joysticks with XB1? For example, using a HOTAS system (Thrustmaster, etc) for games and be able to program the various buttons to correspond to various button combinations?

Specifically curious if this might open up use of other HOTAS systems with Elite Dangerous, etc.

Is there anyone who is developping xbox one accessory

im am sure a few 3rd party coperations have things in the works. their is an adapter due out for the headset.

i am sure mad katz will have a aftermarket controller,and that jazz. gamestops after glow seies will proably continue. but it wont happen till the console is out.

microsoft gets first shot at the 2nd-4th controller sales and add ons stuff.

its not like the 3rd party stuff is all that great. the oem units tend to be the best fit/finish with the components.. the delay or feedback on the 3rd party is usually a bit behind.

The Logitech 3D Pro Joystick was one of the recommended joysticks for use on the adaptive controller; the joystick works, although the buttons around or on the joystick unit are not currently supported.
