  1. Adapter to plug 3mm Jack into controller

Basically I thought about using my beats headphones to hear better. But it's not a standard 3mm Jack slot.

So wondered if you could buy an adapter to plug in the controller to plug my headphones in.

So went into maplins tonight and the lad in there was less than useless.

I don't use a mic so don't see the point buying a new headset when I got a spare pair of headphones.

    :)

Xbox One Chatpad suddenly stopped working

I purchased the Chatpad in January 2018, and it was working fine for a bit. All of a sudden the mic will not acknowledge me talking in Party Chat. If I plug headset directly into a xbox controller's 3mm jack, the mic seems to work fine. However, plug
it into the Chatpad's 3mm jack, and absolutely nothing. It does not work at all in Audio -> Stereo mode. I only get audio from the rest of the party if I use Audio -- Microsoft Sonic.

    More details:

    1. I am using an original Xbox One controller without the 3mm jack. That's the one the chatpad 3mm jack is no longer working with. Typing on the keypad works just fine. Mic does not work; and I cannot hear the Party.

    2. I borrowed a friend's new Xbox One controller with a 3mm jack. That is the one where the mic only picks up from directly plugging in the headset to the controller. When using the chatpad, the keypad works fine; the mic does not pick up; and I am able
    to hear the Party.

  3. Popping noise/audio breakout sennheiser g4me one

just got my Xbox one and have plugged my headset straight into the 3.0mm jack on the controller using the adapter for the headset that makes the green and pink jack into one single 3mm jack, and when In party chat I get this annoying popping audio noise
and it wont go away, what's causing it? Will I need the stereo chat adapter.

Adapter to plug 3mm Jack into controller

Without knowing the type of connector that is on the headphones we cant really help you.

The only controller adapter you can get for the Xbox One is the one that turns the older connector into a normal 3mm audio jack.

You may be able to get an adapter that turns the 3mm audio jack into something else, but like I said, we would need to know what type of connector it is.

    Controller

    Hi Moises,

The adapter plugs into the controller differently than the 3.5mm jack. It uses the USB type plug next to the 3.5mm jack. So there should be more stability with the adapter.

    Thanks,

    Brad
