  1. Adapter or headset issue?

I have TB X41 and have been using it without any issues... until now.

I can hear game audio and chat, however I can't talk to anyone. They can't hear me. I also noticed that when I press the mute button on the adapter, it doesn't even light up. I plugged in the chat mic that came with the Xbox one, and it works with no problems.
It seems that literally over night, the adapter or the TB headset has stopped working for chat. Any suggestions?

If the adapter is plugged into the controller, but no headset is plugged into the adapter, should the mute button light still come on if pressed? If it should, I guess there is a problem with the adapter.

    Any help appreciated.

    :)

Stereo Headset Adapter issues and questions

If you have a question or problem using the Stereo Headset Adapter, see the following topics.

    Stereo Headset Adapter isn’t working

If your Stereo Headset Adapter isn’t functioning well, check the following:

Have you updated your controller’s software to support the Stereo Headset Adapter?

Make sure your controller has fresh batteries. When the batteries get weak, some controller functions like audio and rumble get turned off to conserve the remaining power.

Make sure your headset adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your stereo headset’s 3.5-mm cable is securely plugged into the headset adapter. You will know it’s plugged in properly if you press the mute button and the LED lights up.
If the mute light comes on and you have updated your controller but your headset isn’t working, consult the manual or manufacturer.

Try your Stereo Headset Adapter on another controller if you can. If the adapter works on the second controller, try updating the first controller again. If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online
    Service Center.

  3. Can i hook up this wireless headset to my xbox one

    Hello x ChriSsy RFC x,

Unfortunately the Venom Headset XT is not compatible with the xbox one without an official xbox stereo headset adapter.

You can get a headset adapter at your nearest game store or right at this link

    Good luck!

  5. Hey there Camphizarsoff and Nesquikness!

Sorry to hear about the issue, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

    • First, make sure that your controller has fresh batteries.
    • Update your Xbox One Controller with your headset adapter attached.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Make sure your headset is firmly plugged into your controller and that your headset's 3.5mm cable is securely plugged in to the head set adapter.
Give the suggested steps a try and let us know if you are continuing to experience the issue. Thanks!

    mic muted

    Hello Angel,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. If these headsets are connecting directly with the 3.5mm jack we recommend buying an adapter. They plug into the controller and the headset plugs into the adapter, with a lot of third party headsets we have
been noticing this issue and the adapter usually fixes it, due to the software for adapter.

    Thanks,

    Brad

    Controllers

Some people say the Headset Adapter resolves most issues with the headsets. Personally, I use an adapter and have never had an issue. Just a thought.

    xbox one controller disconnects???

Has anyone returned their headset or headset adapter to see if a new headset adapter fixed this issue?

I am beginning to think that it might be a problem with the headset adapter and not the firmware update.

This doesn't seem to be an epidemic but more of an isolated problem for certain customers.

Mic not working with Audio Adapter

    Hi Los Cassidy,

Sorry you're having issues with your Stereo Headset adapter and mic. Can you test your headset with another adapter to see if the adapter itself is faulty? It sounds like you have 2 controllers. Does the issue happen on both controllers? Also is there another
headset that you can test with? As your headset tested okay with another device, it very well could be a bad adapter. If another adapter works, then let us know as you said it could be software related as well.

    Headset adapter issues

Did you do the controller update with the adapter attached through the Settings menu? If not, do that.

You could also double check that the headset is not muted.
