Adapter is burnt the first time I plug in.

I have bought X-box one recently from US. when I tried to connect the adapter for the first time in India the adapter is burnt. and I cannot start playing .

please let me know :

1. If this is covered in warranty

2. What should be the next step. Which adaptor should work?

Xbox 360 E power supply problem

My xbox 360 E is Region 1, NTSC. the Power voltage is 110V but i live in Bangladesh where the voltage is 220V everywhere. So when i tried to plug in the adapter, there was a burst sound and i took it out as fast as i could. Probably i burnt my power supply.
So should i get a Stabilizer or get a new power supply which is 220V? I could really use some help here.

Did yo have the correct power brick for your area? If not then it will not be covered under warranty but if the device was faulty then it will be covered by warranty. Here is the contact information for India. Contact customer support and work this out

Yeah if you ended up using the power brick that came with the xbox when you bought it in the US and plugged it in while in india you would have fried your xbox one.

The voltage in india is 220v and the voltage the US power bricks use are only 110v.

If you used the US power brick in india this is would NOT be covered under warranty.

Zero Divided

this has happened to me twice, first time was resolved by unplugging the adapter and plugging it back in, and then the most recent time i had to do a actual reboot of my X1.

If i remember right the first time i updated my controller was back in February i had to plug in the headset that came with the console then the usb then follow the instructions the headset adapter and your headset have to be plugged in to update

it's a xbox one fat, I smelled burnt inside the ac adapter but so far I can't smell anything on the main console
