I'm having issues as well since the update....... When I turn on my system with the Turtle Beach XO7 headset, there's an annoying buzz which does go away. The annoying part is that my controller and everything was working fine until the update in April........everything
works on my controller works except my right thumb stick.... The movement is slow and choppy like its on a dial up modem . I thought maybe I had a bad controller so I purchased another one the Titanfall limited edition, updated it and it's doing the same
thing......... I can't play at all...... Kinda BS

As an update, I found my Astro chat cable and am using the mixamp for audio instead of the headset adapter is helping quite a bit. I don't get crackles and the audio is processed more clearly especially in FM5. It sucks to have another cable, and I need
to fiddle with two volume controls for voice/game (adapter and mixamp) - I still have trouble hearing any chat in-game but lobbies are fine - but it is so much better than using the adapter by itself.

I'm not having ant audio issues but I'am having some connection issues as well as having to power cycle & reconnect the controller every time i use my turtle beach headset so that the play & charge kit will charge the battery.

Tried updating loads of times, no change.

  4. Adapter/Headset issues persist after April update

I am having audio issues as well. I recently just went out and bought a new controller and I'm hoping it'll fix the audio drop outs and constant clicking sound I heard while using the chat adapter. I personally had bought the XO Sevens, but sold those because
of the drop outs of audio and plus it didn't have mic mirroring like I thought it would have.

My set up is basically the kinect is sitting on top of my tv and my xbox is inside my tv stand. I open the glass doors so I have a clear signal to the console. I'm only about 7 to 8 feet from the Xbox itself. I notice the clicking sounds happening all the
time and sometimes the audio just drops out and sometimes my controller just disconnects as well. It's so annoying. I'm playing Wolfenstein at the moment, but it's done it with almost every game I've played. I use only the adapter and use my own set of headphones.
It doesn't matter what type of headphones I use, it's always doing it. I need to try the getting closer to my xbox, but man.... I'm only 8 feet away. I'ts july and after this last update, it's still doing it. When will this be fixed? I want to play Destiny
this September and I'll NEED to be playing on a headset. This is going to just send me through the roof if these issues keep happening.

    Things I've tried:

I've turned off my phone (still does it)

My wifi router is 8 feet away sitting on top of my fireplace... don't see how that's affecting it

I've plugged in my controller using the USB cable (used to work, now it doesn't. Still clicks and drops sound)

I'm running out of ideas here

    HELP!

I think its all down to the adapter, this is the only issue I have, i now use Xp400 wireless but no mic, MS&TB are working on this and still no joy, now MS&TB have no plans for a bluetooth adapter for xbox one, I am on the preview and still a big issue.

G'day all! I have a few questions for some of you to try to get to the bottom of these issues.

fpsJones: It does sound like something is interfering with your wireless connectivity, especially if the signal gets weaker the farther away you are. When you are not wired, is your console or Kinect sensor sitting in an entertainment center
or rack with a glass front? If something is blocking the signal between console and controller - even a clear glass pane, then that will affect connectivity.

VV00DY: Please try GrowlingYapper's suggestion. If that doesn't help, then please start a new thread and we'll be able to continue from there.

Moonlord: Sounds like you're seeing improvements! If you want some help with the audio crackling, we can try to pinpoint it. Start a new thread and we'll help you there.

DRES LESLIE: We're going to need a little more info. Please start a new thread and include some details: Error messages or codes, what headset you have plugged in, what you have tried so far, what happens exactly when the update fails, etc.

Try reboot power down press console button 5 seconds wait 10 seconds power up reconnect your controller/adapter/headset if you have a different usb cable try that

I did a little more testing and it appears this may all boil down to signal strength. If I stand much closer to my console, I did not experience the issue. If I go even further away, ~25 ft, it drops almost nonstop and the controller seems to reboot each
time it drops. So the controller restarting only happens when the signal is lost and the signal loss only happens when using a headset in the adapter. My play space happens to be in that range where it works 80% of the time. However, this was not a problem
for 360 and I am not an unreasonable distance from the console.
