Adapter for Xbox one to play Xbox 360 games

Discus and support Adapter for Xbox one to play Xbox 360 games in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I was told by a game stop rep that there may be a adapter coming out for the Xbox 1 to allow you to play your 360 games.     Adapter for Xbox one to play Xbox 360 games


    I was told by a game stop rep that there may be a adapter coming out for the Xbox 1 to allow you to play your 360 games. Is this true? This would be the one thing to get me to go ahead and make a 500.00 investment to the new system. Would give xbox a huge
    advantage on the new PS and help ease the extra 100.00 in price also.

    False The xbox one console cannot read the data on a 360 disc.

    The only way the xbox one could play 360 games would be via a game streaming service

    Oh, I'm sure the Xbox One could read the disc, it just can't do anything with it.

    There's no adapter, unless you count plugging a 360 into the HDMI input of an Xbox One. Still need all the Xbox 360 controllers and it adds some latency, but now you can snap it!

    I got rocksmith 2014 for guitar tutor which isn't offer in Xbox One. I guess it's possible to run 360 in one of tv's hdmi inputs without Kinects and Xbox One in another hdmi so I can easily switch between the two. Is that doable with One control ing tv.

    Adaptive Controller

    Hi there,

    Thank you for posting on the forums today, I'd be happy to help!

    Unfortunately the Xbox Adaptive Controller is only compatible with the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC's. You can however play Xbox 360 backwards compatible games with the Adaptive controller on the Xbox One.

    Oh, I'm sure the Xbox One could read the disc, it just can't do anything with it.

    There's no adapter, unless you count plugging a 360 into the HDMI input of an Xbox One. Still need all the Xbox 360 controllers and it adds some latency, but now you can snap it!

    I got rocksmith 2014 for guitar tutor which isn't offer in Xbox One. I guess it's possible to run 360 in one of tv's hdmi inputs without Kinects and Xbox One in another hdmi so I can easily switch between the two. Is that doable with One control ing tv.
