If I understand it correctly, the adaptive controller has connectors on the back that allow access to every possible Xbox controller function/button. This allows someone to hook up other off the shelf and/or custom made peripherals according to the needs
of the person. That may also require modifying parts (eg add a custom wiring harness) to connect those other parts into each applicable control jack if the native configuration isn't already suitable for the purpose you are trying to achieve.

It may require some experimentation and customization to come up with something that your friend can use.

how does that help someone with the use of one arm and leg use both joysticks, it doesn`t so therefore he cannot play the games, you sold this as allowing everybody with disabilities to play games again but it doesn`t. if the software allowed the little
stick on top to work as the left stick and allowed you to remap the buttons it would solve this issue or is this not possible?
