Ad Volume in Solitaire

Thank you, this seemed to do the trick. I just lowered the volume to 0 initially and was still getting volume on ads but changing it to mute worked.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. You would have to decrease the application volume through your system's taskbar, when you open the game you would see the game icon and you would be able to decrease the volume, but this would decrease the game's sound completely, there is no way to silence the ad or decrease it the sound of it only.

If you want to do this, click on the sound icon with the right mouse button, open the volume mixer, doing this you will see the game icon you can reduce to as much as you want.

They won't. I've seen the same issues of other Microsoft apps posted for years without so much as a comment from Microsoft.

As an example, Microsoft Solitaire Collections ad volume is UNBELIEVABLE and you can't mute it because the game automatically opens a new instance of the game every time the ads come on, which means it as an app is not muted and it will blow your ears out. therefore every time you open the program and everytime an ad comes on you better be prepared for ear damage. Do they care? Nope.

Can't access Microsoft Solitaire at all now! - the ad for the solitaire day just cycles round and round

This problem still has not been addressed (almost 2 years later). The ad overrides the volume controls and screams at the player! It is way, way louder than the game volume.
