ACU Patches

Hello and Happy New Year to you all.

I just got Xbox One for Christmas, so it's new to me. I installed ACU via code and started playing it, I know the game has patches out to fix issues. How do I install them?

Is it safe to leave the xbox on overnight to get them (slow DSL atm)

Same here, ACU looks amazing. You know, despite their downfalls, they have given so much this year so far. My fave being ACU with campaign co-op play for the first time. Think you can accidently kill a friend whilst playing?

cheers for all your feedback! i have just pre ordered acu. so im getting some grest games in nov cod and acc and i have a little bit of cash left over. coop and visual sold me acu. my friend lending me this mordor game to ty me over as its had great reviews.

If you installed via a download (i.e. not from disc) you'll have the most up-to-date version of the game. Otherwise, you would be prompted to update as soon as you started the game.

Don't expect miracles though, the game is still incredibly buggy. It has crashed my console a few times, controls stop responding until I fast travel on a fairly frequent basis and frame rate issues are even more frequent.

My XB1 is on practically all day though (for games, movies, music etc.) so leaving it on overnight shouldn't be an issue (for any future updates/downloads you might want).

 

It tells me I have an update on the screen though says "ACU LIVE UPDATE" press Y to go there I go there it says Please Wait B to cancel unless that's something else. Any way to check the version?.

 

I think you're looking at the game's newsfeed. It is supposed to launch a web page as with when you go to Initiates but it seems to be broken at the moment: Initiates is down for maintenance too so it could be related.

Regardless, it isn't an game update or patch. Those are delivered via standard XB1 store mechanisms.

 

So this game is just broken still right? Just bought it and the framerate lags to hell sound pops in and out or disappears completely and the pop in graphics are terrible. Would a re-install fix any of this or its all the norm?

 

In my experience, that's just how it is. I've owned it since release (had it on pre-order) and despite the 4 patches so far I'm still annoyed so much by the game I quickly turn it off in disgust. I did try a re-install (digital purchase, so I just re-downloaded
it) but that had no noticeable effect.

I hope they'll sort it out sooner or later, I think it could actually be a decent game under all the bugs but I'm not holding my breath.
