i too have this issue alongsmartglass and activity feed on xbox one... grrr

 

I've had the same basic symptoms. I only have 2 friends on Xbox One. All the rest are on 360's. Both friends were visible in my activity feed from day one. After a couple weeks FRIEND#1 completely disappeared from my feed. Both friends were still in my
"friends" list though. I figured it was a glitch or FRIEND#1 changed his privacy settings or something. I asked him and he said he only changed his privacy to show him as NOT ONLINE because he didn't want to be bothered and only wanted to play Battlefield
4 with me and FRIEND#2 during this busy time of year.

Okay. Cool. It must have just been a privacy thing. No biggie.

Well, about 2 weeks ago FRIEND#2 was completely GONE from my friends list. I called him up and he said I was gone from his friends list as well???!?! We both confirmed that we didn't change a single setting, but this still happened.

We added each other back, but neither of us could see each other in the Activity Feed.

I read up on the issue and decided to try clearing the cache on the XO (holding the power button for 15-20 seconds), waiting a while, then booting up again.

Low and behold, I start seeing FRIEND#1's activity again! (i still don't see his online status because that is working correctly on his end).

FRIEND#2 is still not present on my activity feed but I can see when he is online or not.

End result = I am completely perplexed with this "activity feed" scenario.

I love the idea of it when it was working... Now it just bugs me that I am missing FRIEND#2's stuff.

Maybe we should BOTH clear our cache and see if everything repopulates correctly.

Tried this - no joy. I think it's server side. MS need to sort their act out. A console in its infancy is at it's most vulnerable, if Sony are to win this bout - it's things like this that will make it happen. It's not about the issue itself, it's about
what a company does to fix it that defines them. Evidently, not much in this case. The one is riddles with bugs and all it would take would be a sentence, just a sentence from ms. "We're aware if this, and we're working hard on a resolution." Christ, get with
the program Microsoft!

 

Okay. We got the Activity Feed working correctly again!

I didn't do anything to my XO (after clearing the cache the first time)

I asked my friend to clear his cache and he did.

He also stated " I had to allow some custom privacy setting that I had allowed before but were now blocked again!"

Alas, he failed to elaborate on exactly which privacy setting he had to re-allow. I assume he just made himself as visible as possible.

All is working as expected now!

Evidently, (maybe during the first XO system update) some of our privacy settings were changed.

Just ask your friends to reset them to default and clear the cache.

Same issues as others here. Started happening sometime last week. I can see people online but its been going on long enough that the activity feed is just empty now.

 

Mine is down also.. .has been for a week or so

 

It would be absolutely ridiculous for us to have to go around telling our friends to clear their cache's as well. I hope this is not the only fix to this problem..thanks for taking the time to update. I just want to push a button and this be fixed. Come
on Microsoft.

 

On a side note, I did just read a story about an incoming update for Xbox one, focusing on the "troubling social features and interface." Though it does not state our problem specifically, it is a sign of hope. You can read it at GameStop or here

Sorry for posting so much, but I have a slight suspicion. My feed seems to have stopped working from the first time I logged on to the SmartGlass application. Has everyone here at some point logged on to the SmartGlass? Has anyone had both working at the
same time?

Trying to rule out some possibilities.

 

I'm having activity feed issues like what others are describing. It worked fine to start with. Didn't notice when it started, but it was after having used SmartGlass on both iPhone and iPad. My wife's activity feed on the system still works just fine, and
she has not used SmartGlass. That could of course be a coincidence, but thought I would throw that out there for anyone trying to track it.

 

Here with the same problem. It did work but now it doesn't. I did try smartglass and it went off around that time but can't say for definite that it was linked.
