active Ultimate sub, but can't play game pass games

I have an active Ultimate subscription, but when I go to play any Game Pass game it asks me to log in (I'm already logged in) or to renew the subscription (it's valid until 2024, so should be no issue there). I've logged out and logged in, rebooted my xbox one repeatedly, confirmed with Microsoft I don't have an account ban, but still no luck. How to fix this?

PS I had no problems playing Game Pass games as recently as two days ago. And I can still play my owned games online, so it's only Game Pass games that are affected.

Does the account you're trying to play with have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription?

I'm fairly sure that the account has to have its own sub for it to work, so you can't be sharing someone else's Ultimate sub.

Maybe that's the problem.

I’ve followed along with the steps on this thread to a T and I’m having the exact same issue, my subscription is current, I’ve done the resetting and the signing out and signing in, idk what the deal is but I’m losing my mind trying to fix it, I just wanna play my games🤦🏼‍♂️

My first month in the ultimate just expired and it charged me 39.99 sr and i got an sms that I payed but my sub status appears activbut when i went to play a game it said to play this game you have to buy it i made sure that the game is included in game pass ultimate it is i tried another game (minecraft) it gave the same message i restarted my console tried again it didn't work at this point i don't know what to do !

I'm sorry to hear that.

To clarify,

- Are you able to access cloud gaming?

- Have you tried installing/playing Game Pass games while on a different account? if your console is designated as your Home Xbox, other profiles should have your XGPU benefits.

- With the exemption of your network's name, could you tell me what you see at Settings > General > Network Settings > Current Network Status?

- Have you already tried installing games from My Games & Apps > Full Library > Xbox Game Pass?
