    Activation of Gold prepaid card failed.


    Dear Xbox and Microsoft,

    Yesterday on the twenty second of november my Xbox Live Gold membership ended.

    So, action has a reaction and I bought a new prepaid card of three months.

    I got the code like always and I entered the code.

    Then I got the option for an automatic payment through pay pal and as a bonus I will get one month free.

    So I thought, nice! A month free and then I don't have to worry about my xbox live gold anymore.

    So I agreed and waited, the xbox home menu preloaded like it always does when you active a card.

    So here is the thing.

    I activated 3 months of gold with 1 month of gold for free.

    The next payment is on 24 of march in 2018 (so that is in 4 months, right? You see where I'm going?)

    But I can't join party's, play online or any gold features that xbox offers while I activated 4 months of Gold.

    What is going on?

    invalid code.

    I have the same error.

    I buy an xbox prepaid card for $ 24,99 valid for 3 months xbox live gold membership and the activation not work. The system show me an message "INVALID CODE".

    The prepaid card was powered by fastcard.

    So, where i can find help or support to solve this issue ?

    Gold subscription does not except prepaid cards.edit

    I have used prepaid visa/mastercards in the past and they have worked. I never tried for a gold sub though because I would never pay full retail price for a gold sub

    Probably the only parent who has ever had this problem (NOT)

    Also, as long as the card is not attached to an active gold subscription you can remove the card. You can use prepaid gold subscription cards if they do want to play online.

    You can not buy Xbox gold with prepaid credit/cash cards.

    As they are basically for games, dlc etc that you want to buy on the store.

    You do get prepaid gold cards which you can enter the 25 digit code to activate your Gold.

    Hey mate, I'm sorry but what they have told you is wrong. If the store has failed to activate the card you need to take it back to them to activate it as no one can do that on the forums.

    This code wasn't activated by the retailer. Contact the store and have them activate the card.

    Wait 24 hours and try again. If the card does not work 24 hours after purchase, please take the card back to the retailer and ask them to activate it.

    While gold does stack. You cannot stack a prepaid card onto of a subscription that has an active subscription that used a credit or debit card as its payment method

    Yeah, you can't remove a credit card while it's attached to an active gold subscription. So even though you'd be on a prepaid membership, you still wouldn't be able to remove the card. So you're right. I would just wait for the subscription to expire, remove
    the card, then add the prepaid.
