Activation error codes

G'day Sky. If your code was not activated by the retailer, then the best solution is to send it back to the retailer for activation. If you get a different error code than the one RemoteNine mentions, please let us know what the error code is. Different
codes mean different errors and there may be a different solution for you!

Here’s what the Xbox support website-

This code wasn't activated by the retailer. Contact the store and have them activate the card

All codes must be activated at the point of sale in order to be used on Xbox Live. Sometimes there can be a delay at the retailer when activating. If you receive this error message, wait 24 hours and try again. If the card does not work 24 hours after purchase,
take the card back to the retailer along with your proof of purchase and ask them to activate it.

Sorry to hear it. An invalid code error usually means that the code was not activated at the point of purchase. You should go back to Best Buy with your code and ask them to activate it.

only the store that sells it can activate it as far as I know, sometimes it takes 24 hours for the store to process the activation.

So it seems the only option you have is to return to the store again to have it properly activated.

Error code 801613FB is preceded by the following message:

Can't retrieve information from Xbox Live.

If you get this message and error code, it means the card with the prepaid code might need to be activated by the retailer where you bought it.

Some prepaid cards must be activated by a retailer. Activation can take up to 24 hours. If the card does not work 24 hours after purchase, take the card back to the retailer and ask them to activate it.
