Achievemet assigned to wrong user profile

I have two user profiles on my Xbox One, mine and my wife's, both with auto login using Kinect.

I was playing Child of Light and missing one collectible to get a 50 points achievement, then my wife entered the room seconds before I found this last piece, the Xbox signed her in and grant the achievement to her profile not mine which was the wrong one.
Now my profile doenst have that achivement and I'll have to play the whole game to win it.

If you didn't set up gold on her account, then you wouldn't have assigned anything to just your daughter's profile. You would just need to join Live with your account.

Good luck, I had 290 points go into another profile with this game this morning and xbox support couldn't do anything to correct the issue.

Was basically told to ensure that I was the only account logged in when playing a game to ensure achievements registered properly and even as far as deleting all other profiles from the console prior to playing a game.

I've never had any other issues with any other title from day 1 but the solution has me shaking my head.

 

This is an issue with the Kinect auto sign in process. Apps like Twitch also suffer this issue where by you can be broadcasting, the 2nd person walks in and Twitch shuts the broadcast to try and set up for the 2nd person rather than the one in control.

My wife has an Xbox One in the bedroom and I have mine in the living room with her set as an auto sign in person too. Unfortunately it doesn't help you now but this issue has been raised with Microsoft in the Dashboard preview section of the forum too so
hopefully a fix will be a future addition to the system.
