Achievements online only?! Xbox One

not sure about anyone else, but i absolutely hatehaving to be online just to unlock achievements.

i don't have internet at home, i wish it was offline and can view achievements offline just like on the 360.

I guess I can assume that another 2 years on, the online for this it totally dead and everyone has moved on?

May try insane mode online to mop up the missing achievements from there

 

Online achievements

Hi, I'm attempting to get some help with an issue related to achievements. I'm playing All Pro Football 2k8 for the Xbox 360, and in order to access one of the games features (assigning 5 abilities to a created player) one has to unlock all the achievements.
However, with the server no longer active, it's impossible to unlock some of the achievements because they require online play (win 5 ranked games, win an online league, etc.) So I was wondering if there is any possible way to work around that so I can get
the full experience from this game? Thanks!

 

The achievement app is a bit of an inconvenience, but in the scheme of things at least you can still play offline, I'd rather be able to play and not unlock achievements then not play at all...

Whilst it might not happen straight away, it could well be a feature that comes in in the future I used to be in the same boat, so can totally understand where you're coming from!

 

It is a bit of a pain that you can't use the achievements app or unlock achievements while offline, but any achievements that you would have earned will unlock the next time you connect it to xbox live.

It is a strange decision and hopefully they'll fix it some time soon.

Who knows what would happen if you played offline for 6 months or so and then connected. Some achievements might just break and never unlock if it tries to verify and unlock too many all at the same time. Hell, it might even brick the console.
