***Please note: my issue is unique from all the achievement-issue-related posts already in these forums, so please do not make the irritating mistake (like three different people on the other end of the MS support phone line did for over an hour) of not
carefully reading this post for specifics and instead, referring me to those posts that I've already read and that do not address my specific issue. ***

I've scoured the internet, including these forums, and cannot find a fix for the issue I'm having. Someone else has had to encounter this, and there must be a fix, so please, let me know if you know how to fix this:

Here's the deal, just like the subject line says, achievements are not working at all for my account, but are working for the "test account" I created just to troubleshoot this issue. This started about a week ago. While signed on to my
    account, I meet the conditions for an achievement, but absolutely nothing happens. I don't even get any in-game indicator that I met the achievement. And yes, I am certain I am meeting the achievement conditions. For instance, making a wooden sign in Minecraft;
you can't get that one wrong. When I make the sign and place it, no achievement pops. Nothing happens at all, either in-game, or out of game.

I've tried a full console restart, reinstalling games, reinstalling my account (), ensuring I've got the most recent console update, and a factory reset (with the option of keeping games and apps). I thought to create another account, and sure enough,
achievements work just fine on the new account.

So, this must be an issue with my particular account (). I'm suspecting it's an account setting that is bugged. I did play with my settings not long before this started happening but can't recall exactly what I changed if anything.

Now, here's the really odd thing about this issue: on 2/14, just a day ago, I did manage to get one achievement to work, in Minecraft, while I was logged on to my Account (The Freight Station achievement). But no others would unlock since. This
is so confounding. I am really at my wit's end and am hoping someone can address this ASAP.

If there are moderators on here who actually work for MS, know this: I have been a faithful Microsoft-exclusive user for decades (the iPhone being the only exception). I've always stuck with Xbox and Windows. But if my account---the only xbox account
I've had for a decade---is indeed now permanently bugged re: achievements, as so it seems, I will be abandoning it permanently and starting a brand new account . . . on a PS4. And then, next year, when it will be time to buy a new laptop, it will be an Apple
product. It's just ridiculous frankly, that there is not a solution for this issue online, and fully unacceptable to me that 3 different "techs" and the "back office team" they kept consulting for over an hour during my phone call yielded only the advise to
"read this one forum post about waiting 72 hours for a sync." I've successfully-resynched my account now a dozen times and that does not work.

    :)

    Hey there bud,

We sincerely apologize for this issue but rest assured we are here help. As suggested by fellow XBF Brad A the best course of action would be to
Request a Callback but in order to get the correct team on the phone we have some pointers to get the right people on the line:

    Step 1 ----Select Xbox One

Step 2 ----Select See other options

Step 3 ----Select topic (System Update)

Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"

Step 5 ----Select request a call from support

This will get an Xbox Support Specialist (account department) with the correct tools on the phone. They are equipped
to escalate to the correct people and would be the best bet. I hope this helps a bit more but be sure to let us know how it goes.

You're an ignoramus for making this post, BeastBadshah. It's obvious you just cut and pasted from the forums without carefully reading what I wrote. I would bet a thousand dollars you did this just to get posting points. That's why I've reported you and
hope you are sanctioned. Stop making selfish, frivolous posts.

Thanks for the response, Brad. I did request a call from support yesterday and received one. A Neil (he would not identify himself further) said he would look into my issue and call me back again in an hour. He did so, but could only direct me to the forum
pages we all already know about. I asked to talk to a supervisor, Bruce, who allegedly consulted further with his back room, but still gave the same advise as Neil. Even Bruce's supervisor, Ren, gave the same exact advise: re-sync and wait 72 hours, per the
forum post. I painstaking explained to each of them that, per the context of that post, "72 hours" regards how long it MAY take for the resync to occur once initiated, and that my account was immediately resynching, so the 72 hours did not apply. They just
could not get their heads around that. I suspect it was because their English skills were not all that good. I ended that conversation very dissatisfied, as "Ren" flatly refused to further escalate the issue and offered absolutely no other recourse. She might
as well have told me to kindly go (Mod Removed-Profanity) and sell my Xbox to the nearest game stop.

Since, as you observe yourself, this is rare instance in which my own profile is at issue, is there then a more appropriate option you can provide to get me in direct contact with an actual tech instead of a call center full of mere CSRs and their managers?
Please feel free to let me know, via this thread, that you are going to contact me privately with such an option via the email associated with my account if that is preferable to you.

    Hello Sofa,

Sorry for the issue with achievements not unlocking on your main account. This does seem as there is an issue with your account specifically. This problem is rare for accounts to have specific issues. Unfortunately, there is no support site or anything for
this issue. You will have to call in to support and ask them to have your profile investigated. We do not have the tools here for this issue.

When you go to Contact Us to get it to request a call follow these steps:

    • Step 1 ----select Xbox One
    • Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
    • Step 3-----select show contact options

Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Solution 1: Make sure you're connected to Xbox Live

If a completed achievement hasn't appeared online after 72 hours, your console may not be connected to Xbox Live. If you completed an achievement or challenge while offline, you won't receive related notices or rewards until you connect to Xbox Live. Once
you connect to Xbox Live, try unlocking the achievement again.

Solution 2: Check the Xbox Live service status

If you see any alerts here, wait until the service is up and running before unlocking the achievement again:

    Social and Gaming: up
    and running
    2/15/2019, 10:49:35 PM

    Xbox Live Core Services: up
    and running
    2/15/2019, 10:49:35 PM
    [IMG]

Solution 3: Check your achievement progress on your console

When you unlock an achievement, you may not see a notification or an updated gamerscore right away. The Xbox Live service validates your achievement, which may cause a short delay.

If your gamerscore is not updated online, verify that it's updated locally on your Xbox One console. After your gamerscore is updated on your console, verify that the changes are synchronized on Xbox Live.

To see your achievements on your console:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Achievements > See my achievements.
Choose the game in which you unlocked the achievement, then check out the unlocked achievements list.

If you completed the requirements to unlock the achievement on your console but it doesn't show, it may not be synchronized with Xbox Live. Allow up to 72 hours for this synchronization to take place.

Solution 4: Check your achievement progress online

You can check the progress of your achievement online to verify that your console has synchronized with Xbox Live.

    To view your achievements online:

    1. Sign in at xbox.com.
    2. Select your profile icon in the upper-right corner, and then select Profile.
    3. Tap or select Achievements.
    4. Select the title of the achievement you're trying to unlock.
    5. If the achievement appears under Achievements, it's already unlocked.
If the achievement appears under “Locked Achievements,” either the achievement was not successfully unlocked, or the console isn't yet synchronized with Xbox Live. Allow up to 72 hours for this synchronization to take place. If it hasn't appeared after 72
hours, try unlocking the achievement again.

    Solution 5: Restart your console

Restarting your console will ensure that any achievements awaiting synchronization on the console are re-sent to Xbox Live. See How to restart or power
    cycle your Xbox One console
    .

Once you've restarted your console, allow up to 72 hours for the synchronization to take place.
