Achievements in Different Language??!!!

Hi All,

This is a weird one but for some reason, my achievements for 'Blue Dragon' and 'Lost Odyssey' are in Asian and not English. They are the only games affected by this too. I appears like this on both my XB1 and 360. I've done the following so far in an
attempt to make them English again:

1. uninstalled / reinstalled games on both consoles.

2. Cleared cache on the 360.

3. Power cycled the

4. Reset the XB1.

5. Deleted and recovered gamertag on both consoles.

6. Checked language / locations are correct for both consoles.

I'm lost on this! Anyone have any ideas? I thought I'd ask here before contacting Xbox Support. Cheers.

Recovering your profile from LIVE should fix the issue
support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete.

I would recommend deleting and re downloading your profile as a last resort for this one, beyond that I would recommend reaching out to support for further assistance!

 

I've never heard of this happening before, but the rest of the game is in English? If the game is in English and the achievement in Asian you may have something wrong with language settings.

There might be two different versions (Japanese and English) make sure you are downloanding the correct one.

 

I would just redownload my profile to get this resolved. Had an accidental achievement unlocked when the game was set to Spanish once. Had to refresh everything and my profile.

Well I tried deleting my profile etc but to no avail unfortunately. It even appears in Asian language via the web browser when I'm logged in that way. Plus when my friend views the achievements it also appears in Asian. I've raised a post with Support
so I'll see if there is anything that can be attempted further. It really wouldn't bother me but I'm hunting achievements and I don't know which ones are remaining because I can't read it! Cheers.

Well I received some info from support and as much as I appreciate the response, it wasn't directed really relevent. As if the keyword 'achievement' had been noticed so a generic set of instructions were given. I guess that's why people seek guidance
from the community.

On a good note, I did register with True Achievements and everything appears in English. I was able to make a list of my outstanding achievements for both games and I'll use this as a reference.

So to summarise, I have had to use the 'True Achievements' website in order to view my Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey achievements in English. I should also note that the language settings have always been in English and the locale has always been correct.
The only thing that I can think of is that the achievements were obtained before I ever went onto Xbox Live a few years ago. Maybe this has something to do with it but I would think that it would have 'corrected' the language when I eventually did join Xbox
Live.

Achievement hunting I go.........I'll attempt a relative easy one first to see if it pops in Asian or English. Would be good if it pops in English and changes all the historical ones at the same time. Cheers everyone.

 

I just obtained the Blue Dragon achievement for 'escaping more than 50 times'. On my Activity Feed the achievement appears in English but when viewed in the game's progress it's in Asian. At least I was able to use True Achievements to find out which achievements
I had outstanding. It's a work around but I would have preferred an actual solution.

I know some people would ask why the fuss and to be honest, I really wouldn't care what language it shows the achievements in as long it says 100% if I get them all. But I'd just prefer them in English to keep easier track of them. Cheers.
