Achievements between 360 and xbone for same game

I started playing Destiny on the 360 and recently switched over to the xbone and have been now playing primarily on the xbone. I have completed achievements while on the xbone but never got them. About a week later, I was on the 360 and both the achievements
popped up as soon as i started Destiny. Then, the following day when I was back on the xbone and started playing Destiny, the achievements showed up.

Why do the achievements now show up while playing on the xbone? I still have achievements to earn and am getting rid of my 360. I don't want achievements i've earned just sitting out there in lala land...can someone help please?

BTW...I have read other forums and yes, I am getting achievements from other games. Destiny seems to be the only one affected.

Achievements shared XB1 and X360?

xbox one achievements and xbox 360 achievements wont be the same thing. it's like gfw and 360 achievements, you can have the same game on your list twice if you have it for pc and 360. the achievements will probably be the same on all platforms as well,
like it is with trophies and achievements. i wonder if you'll see xbone achievements on your 360. not just the updated gamerscore, but the achievement list and whatnot. also if friends playing the xbone will appear on the 360 or if they'll just show as offline...

Not sure what to think anymore.....

well games like battlefield 4, it comes out for both xbone and xbox 360 (same for ps3 and ps4) but what really concerns me is the difference between xbox 360 and xbone. it will probably be worse because developers wont care anymore, and theyll eventually
abandon 360.. probably soon

Destiny is a little bit glitched with popping achievements. Been like that since it launched.

If you know you have achievements in the game that haven't popped then when you are in Destiny, select Switch Profile and log in with a guest account/other family member account. Then switch profile back to your own profile and you'll get all the achievements
you should have. Or play on your 360 then back to Xbox One like you seem to have done

This appears to be an issue with Destiny that Bungie just hasn't resolved.

no, there is no backwards compatabilty between 360 games and the xbone

I think theyve already said stats will go between the two games and XBL will be the same with the Xbone also, I think. Dunno for sure. I know for sure the stats will go from the 360 to the Xbone with CoD Ghosts.
