So I just got a reply from the support. According to her it is an issue with these games that they can't do anything about. She said I could try contacting the manufacturer, which I will try to do. I'm just bummed that they ware in English before I got my
Microsoft account, which I only got to download some free DLC for Blue Dragon. Wish I could delete the Achievement history completely from those two games, but that's not going to happen since I have already unlocked Achievements on my profile.

I am apparently not the only one with this issue either, in her mail she said that there had been similar incidents with these two games in the past. You'd think there should be some kind of warning somewhere or something at this point. It would have been
infinitely easier for me to have made a secondary profile to set up my account on in that case. Oh well, it's easy to think things through after you have already done something.

I'm going to keep my hopes up that you might be more successful Quinzel, otherwise I'll see if I can get in touch with Mistwalker somehow.

 

Thanks for the update, Tooth! You do not need to reach out to the manufacturer for information. You *might* have to reach out to the developer, but I would only suggest that if we were able to see the achievements in Japanese, too, and we're not. I believe
this is an account issue solely.

To be sure, though, I've sent your situation to the teams that work on achievements to get their insight. If they believe it to be an account issue, then I will get you to the appropriate people for further assistance. Once I have an update from the first
team, I'll post back.

 

I see, thank you ever so much, really it is refreshing that you seem very skilled at what you do. I wish customer support in general kept this high standard that you seem to maintain.

Regardless of how this turns out I do hope that something good comes from it. Either this is resolved or if it isn't, that at least people find this in the future and can get something out of it. Whatever happens I am looking forward to your next reply.

Hey, Tooth! I just wanted to check in and let you know I'm still working on this. I'm waiting for a response to ensure our next steps, and I might not hear anything back until next week. But I haven't forgot about you! I'm still digging.

Alright, ViperishTooth94! After a lot of digging, we have determined that it's definitely not an account or Xbox issue. Because of the way that 360 achievements are built into the game, it's likely there is something happening on the game side of things.

We know this particularly because of the fact that other accounts cannot see your achievements unlocked in Japanese, and the theory we have is based on the achievements being earned offline.

SO, I don't want to just shove you off. I believe that the developers might be able to give you a better idea of what you're running into.

Mistwalker is the developer for both of these games. I know that we published the games (as Microsoft), however the developers might be able to give some
insight into this. Yes, it's a Google Form. Don't put passwords in Google Forms. Also, the fact that they are a Japanese company really makes sense why achievements could be defaulting to Japanese for these games for you.

Reach out to them. Find out if they are able to give you an explanation for what is going on. I suggest explaining the whole situation:

• You earned these achievements offline.
• No one else can see them in Japanese.
• Is there anyway that they can fix it?

It's likely that you will get an answer that this cannot be fixed, mostly due to the age of the games. However, they may be able to at least explain why it happened to you.

Please keep me updated on what they say! I'm really sorry that we couldn't fully help, but at least we pinpointed what it likely is.
