Achievements app not working

The achievements app on my Xbox One is not working. I picked up a skull on Halo MCC and didn't get the achievement and it happened on AC Unity as well. When I open the app, I get the error code 0x87c40011 and when I go to the Support on Xbox's site, they
don't know what that code is, so I'm trying to find out if anyone has a solution for fixing. I already tried power cycling the console and restarting my router.

It seems to be affecting certain accounts. I've had this problem for over 24hrs

It's on Microsofts end so there isn't really anything we can do

 

I've also had this issue since Thursday night around 10:30 PM CST. Cannot access Achievements app and achievements are not popping.

 

Got the same Problem. Played working dead ans i was wondering why i dient get achievements... I cant unlock achievements ans cant access the app.

 

Same problem here.Also when a friend compares his achievements with yours, you have none.

I experienced this earlier today. While the app is working again, the achievements aren't. In fact, I'm now facing three variants of achievement issues.

1. I unlocked my final achievement in the Trueachievement app. The achievement did not update on the main page, showing as "locked". However when I viewed the achievement separately, it shows up as "unlocked". So I have this situation of an achievement that
is unlocked, but locked.

2. I subsequently unlocked an achievement in The Wolf Among Us. The achievement is now showing up on Xbox.com. However, the points aren't added to my totals, nor the game's totals. So even though it has "unlocked", nicely, it's not updated as so. In fact,
I now have 9 achievement pictures on this game (that is, unlocked 9 achievements), but the game's totals said 8 achievements.

3. I then tried one more achievement in The Wolf Among Us. This time, nothing unlocked at all. It's like a few days ago again, when nothing gets unlocked.

Apart from the above, Xbox.com is not updating the above affected app and game as "last played". My "last played" is still shown as Sunset Overdrive, which I last played yesterday. The two app and game I used today do not show up as recently used at all
on Xbox.com.

I sent a tweet to support and was given the usual, unhelpful "wait 24-48 hours" reply. It sounds like an easy job, citing the same useless suggestion day after day.

 

Hi all, I too am having the same issue with both achievements and comparing games with friends. I know it's a huge ask and everyone is entitled to want their achievements to function correctly but lets all be a little patient, it is after all the weekend.
Support are clearly aware of the problem and will no doubt have it fixed for us soon.

Why would you think that support is clearly aware of the problem, because from the looks of it, they're clearly not aware of it?

Achievements are one of the most important aspects of Xbox gaming. Having it randomly not working every other day doesn't sound like anyone is aware of how important it is for paid users of the product and subscribers of the service.

 

So Mister Quimby's post wasn't sufficient enough evidence to suggest that Support are aware of the problem?

 

I'm having this problem too! unlocked an achievement yesterday in titanfall and all of my friend with whom i got it got while i did not. it is showing on the activity feed but not in the gamerscore and the achievement app is not working error 0x87c40011
which unfortunately is not recognized by the error report system (which i find it a lil bit strange i might say).

I will wait as it seems the only possible solution, just wanted to share my personal experience with you.

 

Mister Quimby'a post sounds like another delaying tactic you get from "support" (inverted commas are intended because they hardly ever do what the word "support" does).

I'm frustrated because it's close to 24 hours since I had this problem, and it isn't resolved.

Meanwhile, I went to my windows phone, and unlocked an achievement earlier. Everything works fine. It's unacceptable that the most expensive gaming machine in my house (i.e., the Xbox One) is the only one constantly having issues with *** up achievements.

I'll be reverting to playing on my Xbox 360 because I'm tired of waiting for the Xbox One's achievements to work.

 

Just to add, if someone is actually aware of the problem, it won't happen every other few days. It could've been resolved permanently. There's be no fire-fighting, no"wait 24-48 hours" messages, and the world could potentially be a much better place to live
in.
