Achievement progress wiping out each time i quit the game. Gears of War 2/3/Judgement via BC ...

Hello. I recently finished Gears 3 on Xbox One S for the first time and decided to give it a second run in the arcade. For this second run i decided to find all the collectibles in the game. I finished first act in coop and stopped. When i got back in
the next day, i noticed that all the collectibles i’ve picked up during my run are gone, they’re simply not there. So i decided to find them again in lowest difficulty in regular game. Here’s the problem: when i pick up the collectible, i go to nearest checkpoint
and i quit the game. There, i find this collectible in the menu. Now i quit the game, start it again and boom, it’s gone. But my progress on campaign is intact, i continue playing right from where i left off. Now i’ve tried reinstalling game, redownloading
my 360 profile, basically everything, just doesn’t work. Each time i get back in game my any achievement-related progress is wiped clean. Thing is, it only happens on my main account, I tried playing the game via my GF’s account and there’s no such trouble,
the progress is always saved properly and doesn’t vaporize into nothing each time you quit. Any help? By the way, exactly the same problem with Gears Judgement and Gears 2 now.

Connection problems with Gears Of War 2, 3 and Judgement

Only recently started to experience problems with Xbox compatibility when I finished updating Gears of War 3 and Judgement after installing them. It says I need to connect to Xbox live when in the main menus for GoW 2, 3 and Judgement. It says I have no
gamerscore or achievements for each game and no save games for GoW 2 even though I'm halfway through Insane difficulty of the campaign on Xbox One. Please help!!!

 

Received Codes from Xbox Live for Gears of War 1, 2, 3, & Judgement, some don't work

Received a message from Xbox Live shortly after I redeemed Gears 4 UE with codes for BC versions of Gears 1-3 & Gears Judgement, the codes for Gears 2 & Judgement redeemed normally but the others give me an error when I try to redeem them.

Any chance I can get new codes for them?

Sounds like you're having trouble with Gears of War progress for specific things is not saving to the cloud. Did you have play these games on the same account on Xbox 360? It's possible that its trying to revert back to previous cloud saves. Please let us
know a few more details regarding this situation. Did you ever enable cloud saved storage on a Xbox 360 console or transfer content for these games over onto the cloud saved storage on an Xbox 360?

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

 

Hello George! No, i've never had any Xbox console prior to Xbox One.

 

Just did that, no help. I also did reset a console without deleting my games.

Sorry for the issue with the achievement and game progress. You could try the steps mentioned on

Problems with Xbox one achievements see if that helps any. It really weird that it only happening with them games though. Try and play a total different game and see if any achievements save.

Hello. I wanna add that when i go offline and play the game without connecting to Xbox Live my progress is saved when restarting the game, but just as i go online it's wiped immediately. Other games work fine, there's no such problem. Also, i've tried to
play Gears 3 with my girlfriend's account and it works as intended, progress is saved when you quit the game. Still looking for help on this one.

Hello Javier. I alredy did a power cycle twice and even reset my console while keeping the games and apps. I also tried reseting network MAC settings and even trying to log in with a different network with a different internet provider, my NAT is open. Really
want a more deeper help on this case.

 

You game is having issues and scyning to a cloud saved game but jot updating it . Clear the local saved games on you console. And then unplug for 5 minutes. Then try again hope that it works out

 

Didn't help. I'm pretty sure i need some serious MS involvement in here.

We would like to clarify here, does the achievement progress only wipe when switching from offline to online, or is this consistent with being online entirely?

Does this not have to do with achievement progress? Is it more so the collectibles in-game that are not saving?

If the case is that the collectibles don't save, but progress for completion does, this would be purely internal having to do with the recognition through the developer servers.

This goes as following: i start the game while i'm connected to Live services. I play for about 15 minutes, get like 5 collectibles out of 20 that are needed for an achievement or kill 15 out of 30 enemies also needed for an achievement. I get to nearest
checkpoint and quit to main menu. There, i go to "War Journal" (which shows you overall progression on game - multiplayer and singleplayer, how long until you get that or that achivement, et cetera) and i can confirm that i picked 5 collectibles and killed
15 enemies. Now i quit the game, i log back in and i'm now at zero progress on collectibles and killed enemies, BUT, the game knows where i left off in terms of actual levels progression so i pick right where i left off. So yes, it has to do with collectibles
/ enemies count that are also achievements. That's what i'm trying to tell - for some reason my progress on specific things doesn't properly update therefore each time i play forcing me to do certain things over and over again.
