Achievement Notifications Not Working

This has been an on going problem for a few months on my system. A few times a month, notifications when I unlock an achievement stop working for a few days. To be super clear... the achievement unlocks, and my gamerscore reflects that. It's the notification
that does not pop up. I've contacted support Twitter each time, but they don't seem to quite understand the problem. I have done many a hard restarts by holding the system button. This does not cure the problem. Just as mysteriously as the notifications stopped
working, they begin to work again a day or so later. This is very, very frustrating. The notification is my favorite part of unlocking an achievement. I can't be the only person this is happening to.

Achievement don't unlock

my achievement system's not working, when i do the achievement there's no notification and they don't unlock.

Achievement notification not working

I got an achievement for life is weird game yesterday and the notification popped. Microsoft has to do nothing because its working properly. Maybe if your in this Preview Program it may happen. Try hard resetting your console.

Hi Jason,

Have you tried clearing persistent storage and your alternate MAC address? If not could you give those two things a try.

To clear persistent storage go to Settings, Disc & Blu ray and click on persistent storage and then clear. Do this 3 times to make sure you have got everything cleared. Do this first before the next step.

To clear your Alt MAC address go to Settings, Network, Advanced settings (on the left) and scroll down to Alternate MAC address. Click on that and then select clear. This will restart your console so be sure you are not doing anything before attempting to
clear it.

See if that fixes your issue.

When friends/peps send you messages on Xbox Live, Notifications aren't that laggy now.

But... the orange achievement notifications are quite laggy now compare those "achievement" notifications with how non-laggy the achievement notifications are on the Xbox 360, which pop up with practically no lag - smooth and fluid. That's how notifications
should work. This is probably a

"software" issue more than a "it's your internet".

Same here, started at some point after the Feb update. No notification for achievements unlocking. The achievements appear unlocked when you manually look for them, but no pop-up. Weird. Fix it Microsoft.

im having the opposite problem, my achievements pop up at the right time, but then the notification doesnt go away unless i hold the home button and let it take me to my achievements app. otherwise it stays on my screen regardless of what i access on the
xbox one. anyone else having these issues?

sorry for posting in this thread but i could not figure out how to start my own.

Yeah nothing worked for me either done legit everything i possibly can this is 100% on xbox to fix seems the latest update fup up stuff I've posted to a few other sites and more and more people are having it very frustrating that they won't even acknowledge it
