Achievement notification not showing up on screen

For some reason any achievement I unlock the achievement notification does not pop up on screen. The option is turned on in the settings.

It did the same thing back in August I restarted console and that fixed it but it’s doing it again and restarting console this time does not fix it. It also does the same on my other gamertag.

I think it's just something on Microsoft's end. I didn't think about it, but had the same issues with achievements yesterday and then saw some others mentioning it earlier.

In this case, I would strongly suggest trying the troubleshooting steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

Then select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

Then Settings -> System -> Clear local saved games -> restart.

If none of the solutions above help, try to soft reset your console:

Select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

turning off the console and removing power cord did not work.

However the second option to clear MAC address did work. The notifications are working now thanks.
