achievement not unlocking

So, playing Mass Effect 1 on Xbox One.

A few achievements that I wanted to finally do, amongst them was DLC stuff. I noticed that Barrier Mastery wasn't unlocked despite farming it.

So, I tested unlocking achievements by running to Pinnacle Station DLC and try to unlock New Sheriff in Town (since it was the easiest). Fulfilled requirements.... and nothing. No "pop" or anything. Investigating further, I noticed at all the achievements
are dark (as in did not get them yet) in the Mass Effect extra's main menu, however, the old ones I had done are unlocked via and viewable from Xbox desktop or website.

I tested further by downloading a free game that has easy achievements (Spark or something) and got 3 unlocks in less than an hour. So issue is either ME1 or backward comp....

I also tried the whole reset system, delete profile and redownload profile (tried to unlock it again after that, still nothing) and waiting 72 hours.

The darkened achievements in the ME1 main menu is what has me concerned.

Any insight would be helpful.

I didn't know Forza Horizon is an X360 game

I just want it to be backward comp so I can play it and see what the differences are. Also want them achievements

Achievements not updating

I’m having trouble with backwards compatible achievements unlocking. I have earned them and they have popped in a couple of different games and show as unlocked in the game tab. However, they do not update on the game list or full profile gamerscore. I have
tried waiting, unlocking a different achievement in the hopes it updates, unlocking the achievement itself again but nothing works. I contacted Xbox support but they redirected me here with the ticket number 1435656161. How can I fix this?

Tried disconnecting from Xbox Live, did a hard reset, reconnected and attempted to unlock the achievement again, still nothing.

Has anyone had this issue? Would like to know if its just me or if its everyone. If its everyone I'll assume they will fix it in time.

I have the exact same issue. I can't unlock any achievements on Xbox One games. However I can unlock achievements on Xbox 360 backwards compatible games.

I'm having the same issue with Diablo III and Minecraft. I've done everything recommended to "fix" this issue and the achievements are at the whole "Done...Unlocking" phase. I gotta say I find the achievement system on the Xbox One to be a step backwards
from the Xbox 360. What's the point of having achievements in a game if they don't unlock when the requirements are met?

Hi,

Sometimes achievements take up to (and in some cases more than) 24 hours to register and unlock, being online at the time might also factor into certain achievements unlocking, I very recently played a few backwards compatibility titles and I had no issues
with achievements.

Double check to see if you've met the criteria for the achievement to unlock, I'd recommend following a guide on YouTube just to be sure.

Telltale is always a great guarantee. Backwards comp.-wise, both Star Wars the Force Unleashed I and II provide satisfactory results. You'd get both a great story and easy achievements!
