Achievement merging question.

I recently had my account hacked, so I don't have access to a current copy of my profile. (Deleted by support when I opened the case)

But I had an old copy of my profile at my lake house, which I have been unlocking achievements on. When I get my profile back, will the achievements merge?

For example on GTA V I had 100g or so from online, but on my old backup I had 0 but earned about 300g in singleplayer. (This is the case with a few games)

I know that if I recover my profile it will be lost. But if I transfer it via usb, will the 2 different "versions" of my account sync?

I really don't want to lose out on about 2k gamerscore because my account was hacked.

Merging question

I have looked up some similar problems on these forums so I'm aware that it's not possible to transfer things between xbox live accounts. My problem is slightly different.

Most of the time I've been using my xbox I didn't have it connected to the internet so I've been using a normal profile on the console. My problem is that the email address I usually use is attached to an account I created when I got Dawn of War 2 for my
PC. I would prefer to keep the saves and data associated with the profile on my console but I'm not sure how to transfer anything or if it's even possible. My main concern is my Mass Effect data as I'd like to be able to play ME3 on a live account without
having to play through again.

I would accept being able to just transfer my save data to my Live account but I get the feeling my only option may be to create a new email address and convert my xbox profile into a Live account.

 

Merging question

Hey Tom2Toes, sorry to hear about the account issue! So it sounds like this WLID exists on the service (as a Games for Windows Live profile), and that if we were to 'recover' that account on the console, it would not allow you to tie your existing saves
with that WLID. Am I correct so far? If so, you may want to try the 'create account' option using the WLID, just to ensure that it says it's taken. If it is, then I believe the scenario you outlined at the end of your post would be the most viable. Please

Sorry I might not have explained it well enough. Its the same account, just different versions of it. For example copy 1 has 5000 total gamerscore and 100 on gta v. Version 2 has 4000 total but 300 on gta v (different achievements) will I get all the gamerscore
(400 on gta v) when I bring it online?

when a console/account is connected to xbox live it should synchronize things like achievements.

So I would assume that when version 2 is connected to xbox live it will update the achievements, which should end up with a profile with 5200 (500 + 300 - 100) as gamerscore (300 for GTA V)
